  • you gut a fuking weird background

  • didnt know this applied to linux only? oh it doesn't....

  • Insert red hat linux joke here.

  • i like the background where do i get it?

  • deviantart

  • Could you specify where on Deviantart?

  • No, that would mean I'd have to actually look for it.

  • If you cant make it work use windows or some apple crap, don't make linux look bad because you cant use it worth shit

  • linux doesnt support trinity graphics i dont think...

  • just because you have a cool background, thousands of people will come to see your video :p

  • whats the background pic?

  • clear ur cache...

  • My Eve does a fuking blue screen every time i get into game play fuking piece of shit

  • mine never gave me a bsod and i've been playing for 1.3 years...

I should mention that my PC is 4 years old...

  • where is your background image from? its pretty awesome.

  • Actually, most linux users run it instead of window, because it is better if configured right or even with a boxed distro like Mandriva powerpack 2008 (which I run). Considdering how bloated windows has become through XP and vista, I'd be suprised if windows could outrun Mandriva's emulator with equal hardware.

  • and yea, fuck vendetta, Eve ROX!

  • Not everyone uses linux because it's free, I actually have both.

  • Windows sucks. Its full of vulnerabilities and shit.

  • oh so u mean linux is bulletproof or something?

i think they don't make malware for linux 'cause only cheapsk8tes use it and it's rare...

  • "I think" -eduardvictor

    No shit, you think.

Well guess what. Windows is a cookie cutter operating system. Meaning, if one computer has vulnerability X then it probably means that some other noob also has vulnerability X. Ever wonder about the I love you virus. Outlook express? That would be Vulnerability X for you right there. However in Linux, the operating system is like clay instead of a cement block. You can change it, meaning your computer may not have Vulnerability X. Get it?

  • Also, just because people support an open source operating system where everyone is free to contribute their part doesn't make them cheapskates. They just have different opinions toward the industry. You may want to have your software to make money, but others may want there software to just build on, to be made better. Or just to piss off some guy named Gates. It doesn't matter. What matters is that Linux doesn't make you a cheapskate, being too lazy to protect your computer makes you an idiot.

  • what about the other guy..i think his name is jobs, oh wait, linux already done that.

  • IF Linux was mainstream, it would be attacked more, and not all versions of Linux would have a standard defense against all the possible attack algorithms...

Don't split hairs, just watch as Mac gets decimated when it hits 10% of the userbase...like smallpox blankets hitting Native Americans...

Linux's only hope is to never make it's interface mainstream-user friendly and moddable...that's it.

  • Actually, the very nature of the way Linux, and consequently Mac, works makes it very difficult to infect with a virus although I believe Mac is more prone. The root/user hierachy prevents most standard attacks from working at all. The only really effective way to infect a linux PC, excusing some distro specific exploits, is to somehow convince a user to sign in as root and manually run the virus and at that point I would really chalk that up to user error, not so much a security gap in the OS.

  • There is always a way for any type of security to be flawed. This can be said with Punkbuster, Steam, Norton, and the United State's Armed Forces.

  • outlook express is for fags...

  • yep

  • Lol trolling n00b everyone... look at him troll.

  • why should someone bother making a virus for linux when so few use it, when they could make one for an os that nearly everyone uses ? thats the only real reason there are none for linus

  • that's what i said :)

    In other words...

  • That's total bullcrap, you know there are hackers, crackers, cyber punks (whatever you wanna call them) who are doing their job simply to fight MS. And for your information, Linux is the most stable system, check the latest hacking competition, they couldn't hack on to Ubuntu. Enough said?
