He is using E tuning. That's the way how this song is played.. (it's not in C because Kyuss covered it from Yawning Man, I suppose they used the E tuning)

I got a Fender Jazz with nice tight strings to tune down, loads of people choose Yamaha etc for metal, but the strings become far too loose, and make what like to call "notes of blah".

Decent though, keep going and re-record this.

kyuss is really hard to play you cant get it right every time. i think the effect is pretty close, the bass line follows up nicely and it's a good cover even tho it doesn't sound exactly like the original song it's a real good cover . good job !

that double time part on the hi-hat is supposed to be played with one hand - playing it w/ alternate hands takes away from the drive of the song. pretty good cover, but it needs a little work. keep at it, it's good to see people playing kyuss tunes :)
