  • I wanna get the beauty blender sponge, but you mentioned how the pink dye comes off. It freaked me out a little bit because my skin and eyes are very sensitive. Has the Sonia Kashuk blending sponge color ever come out? Please answer. I wanna purchase it as soon as possible, but I'm very indecisive right now...

  • @PinotOrchid8 I've never noticed color running from the sonia kashuk sponge. The color run from the beauty blender stops after a few uses.

  • @PinotOrchid8 beauty blender website sells a sponge that is white, if you do not like that aspect.

  • Fab video xx

  • Thanks for the info.! Was considering buying the pink one for myself...now I may go with the purple. BTW-were you ever in the military? You look like a girl I went to Basic Training with....

  • @GodsDaughterChandra No. I was never in the military.

  • I use shampoo to clean sponges

  • Thanks for the review its just too long to watch I had to be forwarding it to get to the point of it all .

  • This is a very goooooooooood vid! Thx:)

  • anti-bacterial hand soap eliminates the stains

  • The Sonia Kashuk one comes in pink now!

  • I loved ur accent! but this was great thanks!

  • OMG Thank you so much about the tip with cleaning the sponges with makeup remover! It helped remove all the caked in makeup off of my Sonia Kashuk sponge! :)

  • @jeniiiee

    You're welcome!

  • I'm a dude, why am I watching this?

  • sonia kashuk is not a knock off its her own version of it.

  • great review, very thorough :D thank you very much!

  • @GloTavarez

    Glad this helped!

  • thanks so much for the review, this was very thorough yet straight to the point

  • @kayteex023

    I'm glad you liked it!

  • your welcome!!! :)

  • what do you use for teeth whitning sooooo white!

  • @abbyqxoxo222

I used to use Crest Whitestrips, but I haven't used those for a year. Thanks though!

  • I saw another video that only reviewed the pink one from sephora and the other girl said she had pink color rinsing out when she cleaned it while using warm water, so that might be it. She uses cold water. I cant remember who it was tho.

  • try using mild soap, or maybe even baby shampoo to cleanse. hopefully they can get a litte cleaner :) hope that helped!

  • @esseyareey

I use baby shampoo on my makeup brushes, so I'll definitely try it out on this sponge. Thanks for the idea!

  • I havent tried this but have you tried dish washing detergent? It would clean out all the stains, grime and be anti baterial...i would think. haha

  • @bluebell707

No, I haven't tried that, but it does sound like a good idea!

  • really good comparison. :)

  • SONIA KASHUK IS NOT A KNOCK OFF HUNNY I THINK ITS BETTER THEN SEPHORA'S

  • @cocolips26 um sephora isnt the maker just the retailer but it had it first and the other one is cheaper and a diff shape because they cant use the original shape like the pros...their copy cats......the SONIA KASHUK one is definantly a knockoff HUNNY

  • the purple one reminds me of ice cream XD

  • really great and thorough review! you rock!! definetly helped me alot :]

  • @cupcakewhorexo

I'm glad this helped. Your username is hilarious...and it made me hungry. :)

  • Do you use liquid or cream eye makeup remover to clean it?

  • @jazzkick0

    Liquid

  • Does one sponge last longer than the other? Great review by the way...thanks!

  • @123cetaphil

I find that the Beauty Blender sponge lasts longer and doesn't break down as quickly as the SK sponge. However, the Beauty Blender also costs twice as much, so I feel like you can get your money's worth from either one.

  • That was a great review. Thanks so much! Knowing me though will still buy them both! ;)

  • @dawnten

You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it!

  • thank you for this review! i have the beauty blender so i just wanted to know if i should purchase some of the sk blending sponges for my makeup kit! I did want to let you know that i felt the same about the blender cleanser at first. the second time i cleaned it i went through it more thoroughly and really squeezed from the source of the color to the edge and applied cleanser about three times to FULLY get the color out :] it just took some time!

  • @inlovewithmakeup92

Thanks for the info! I had stopped using them due to the color loss, but I'll just clean both of them until they stop bleeding. It's good to know that the color stops coming out EVENTUALLY :)

  • Thx for the review! You may have gotten a defective Beauty Blender. I've had mine for a while and it doesn't bleed and goes back to its normal size when dry. See if you can return in - far too pricey to just throw in the back of the makeup kit.

  • Your teeth are so white!! :)

  • @sorrenity

    Thank you so much!

  • great video im about to but both really but 20 is kinda to much for a damn sponge but its pinnnkkkk!!! ahhhhh lol

  • hi....I'm thingking of getting one of them, but still can't decide, few things I'd like to know, is the SK sponge kinda harsh on skin compare to the BB one..?? and after u washed the SK one several times did the sponge start to falling apart..?? thank you

  • @cosmicgal78

    1. No, the SK sponge is not harsh at all on the skin. In my opinion, they feel equally nice when you're applying your foundation.

    2. Yes, I would say that the SK sponge did start breaking down after SEVERAL washings. I don't wear makeup everyday, but I would say that one SK sponge lasts me couple of months, and then I go and buy a new one.

I hope that helps you make your decision!

  • Great review! Thank You!

  • @candy00star

You're welcome! Thanks for commenting and watching!

  • You helped me make my decision. thank you for such an awesome review!

  • great comparison! thanks!

  • I loved the review and comparison. I'm definitely going to skip the beauty blender, thanks for saving me some precious time and money. The fact that the BB sponge bleeds, I think is a huge negative. I certainly don't want pink dye going into my pores. I haven't tried the Sonia K sponge but I'm definitely going to pick one up after your review so thanks again.

  • @channienyc

You're welcome. I'm sticking with the SK sponge from now on too. The pink one doesn't bleed a ton, but a little bit of color comes out each time I wash it, and I don't like that.

  • Awesome comparison! it just shows how a cheaper drugstore brand can be just as good and even better then the pricier ones. I've never used a sponge, I really want to try the Sonia Kashuk one now!

  • @mzddd22

If you use liquid foundation, I'm sure you will love the finish that it gives you. I haven't reached for my foundation brushes since I purchased it.

  • Thanks for the info! I bought the beauty blender I love it. It makes a big difference in my foundation. When I clean it comes pretty clean with the cleanser. you have to squeeze it really tight and it will go down in size. not to the original but close:)

  • Thanks for sharing! I love the comparison videos you do...a lot of the things you review I am curious about and your videos help me to make a decision on what to buy. Keep 'em coming.

  • @mrspurplemookie

You're welcome! I really appreciate you watching and commenting on my videos.

  • @EyeWearMakeup No problem.

  • what are you wearing on your eyes?

  • @carebears010

Sumptuous olive (MAC) on the inner half of the lid

Expensive pink (MAC) on the outer half of the lid

    Embark (MAC) in the crease

Vanilla (MAC) on the brow bone and inner corners of my eyes for a highlight
