  • NEEDS MOAR FUZZ

  • The playing is great, but it just didn't sound powerful enough compared to the studio version. Would've been perfect if you added a lot of reverb with the drive and volume cranked.

  • Awesome.

  • great playign shit vibrato, but great playing

  • @zakkattack99 dont be stupid. his vibrato is perfectly fine. check out his zakk wylde video for some real shit

  • @filipmajstorovic no thanks

  • Dude, very nice playing and very good technique, greetings from ecuador

  • Man, I playing this, sounding like a Death Metal! hahaha very clean sound ...

  • u got skill bro, try to lay some more feeling in it!

  • Does someone have the exact tab of what he's playing please ? :p

  • @MrFrancescosmusic

D# is a hybrid of a dominant's dominant (B7), without root and fifth, and with maj7. And it sounds good, with the correct tone. It's a guitarist's way to do a quick modulation to the dominant. Got any problem with it?

  • Sounds really good, But I hate that guitar tone. >.<

  • check out my cover, i added fun things, because im cool and want to get views on my videos so i can own the Indie kids

  • @sanjinator17 ..what?

  • @sanjinator17 not everybody in this country is a bollyfreak.single minded over his head indie guitarist.typical.

  • @DBZKRN what are you talking about now?

  • @sanjinator17 ..nevermind.

  • dude!!! that was awesome!!!

  • the best cover i have never seen

  • I'm surprised, viking kongs solo is the only thing of gilberts I've seen removed due to copyright. He must have some real love for that thing.

  • could have used a little more effects in my opinion, and it sounded like you were killing the sound with a heavy noise gate. otherwise, played spot on

  • awesome!!!!!

  • amazing cover btw!!!

  • aaaahhh i just don't get the tapping part, it's fricken awkward, any suggestions?

  • LIfeless playing

  • 1:44 to 1:55 ... gets me every freaking time.

  • WHAT! i wanted to learn this on GMC but now its removed from copyright issues. WHy! it doesnt make sense

  • what effects do u use?

  • thumbs up!!!

  • Why are you selling it?

    How much?

  • @WarriorArrow 1800 USD-s but I've reconcidered it, so I won't sell it :P

  • @Kandurananda Put dimarzio evos in it. best choice of my life.

  • Love the horse squeal at 3:28

  • Fantastic!!! Love it. Thanks for posting:)

    Grandma mary

  • does this guitar compare to a jackson soloist?

  • @crovian1985 Never tried one.

  • you know.. buckethead songs could bring a LOT of people to the website..

  • I was fairly happy with the lessons on this site, but very disappointed when I found out they auto-renewed my subscription (without warning) and REFUSED to provide a prompt refund when requested on the same day of the renewal. I am unemployed and couldn't afford the extra year of service, so the $90 was very important.

I had planned on joining again when I get back to work, but after this experience, they will never get another dime of my money.

  • @Kawboy718 I think there was some kind of mistake, Kris would never do such a thing. Do you want me to contact him on this matter?

  • FOUND! a proper learning channel! thank you GMC!

  • @azrock1984 hey GMc does hav this as a lesson anymore. do u hav tabs or something for this song if so could u sent me them or something. thanks

  • you are one clean player dude. im only missing the part from 3:13 to 3:20 but this close up of playing the song helped a lot with the confusing parts. thanks for uploading it.

  • great player

  • thank for the video

  • nice cover..

  • what pups are you playing mate?

  • Awesome playing and tone, man. What amp are you using?

  • I have a question......Can i play same things(sweep, tapping, shred) in esp horizon fr II???its the same guitar but this one has emg......thanxxxxx

  • @stath0stef Of course :) It doesnt which you guitar you have but its going to be difficult to perform such things as well as this player does.Get ready!!! :)

  • In the chorus (bar 10-17), what is that tapping? Is it a quick tap an octave up (19th for fist tap?) and then pulling off and letting the note an octave lower (7th) ring out? I have been trying to figure that out, but I'm not sure...

  • @binrdow its just a quick tabbing of the harmonic on the higher octave of the note u have fretted(12 notes up). just hit the string on the harmonic and it should ring out.

  • can i get this

    backing track

    ^^

  • he plays it very clean but he should maybe use some more gain for this song

  • this is awesome man

and lol you have two of the same 'isms that I have,

    anchoring and a flying pinky.

but its good to see that crazy speed is still possible with those!

    gives me motivation

  • key was high... notice not usingthe d tuning.. but its fine.. u rock

  • hello

where can i get this backing track

    ^^

  • haha, i figured. but thank you for the response

  • You are such an amazing player, i would really appreciate if you could make the other parts of the lessons available to me as I cant afford guitarmasterclass sites.

  • I'm really sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I have signed a contract with a company that doesn't allow me to do such things...

  • @Kandurananda you sold your soul to the devil :Q

    jk ...

    but srsly.... WUT?

  • @Kandurananda

sup dude, how you doing again? so im finally gonna get the horizon!!! :D but anyway, since youre also a fan of paul gilberts work could you possibly consider covering his song "curse of castle dragon"? there are a few good guitar pro files that ive learned part of it from. you could probably play it in your sleep, but it would be a pretty damn cool song to cover and teach. I know your busy with the band and the classes and all, but I thought it would be a cool idea.

  • @whitelotus808 Great news, man! Will you post a video of you playing your new axe? :)

About the Gilbert transcription, actually I'm planning to do lots of them, and I will do "Curse..." as well! :) Right now I'm working on few Metallica solos, some Pantera, and I'm also working on Gilbert's "Technical Difficulties" and "Metal Dog"

  • @Kandurananda

yes, ill post a video of me plaing it for sure. id say it'll a littlw while before i get it, but once I do, itll be my first upload on my channel.

And thats great to hear. Im a big metallica fan also and ive learned a lot of their solos (whiskey in the jar [also in d standard], dont tread on me etc.) but as far as pantera and gilbert go, i only know a few of their songs, so doing these videos will defineteley help me to learn them. cant wait to see the new videos. :)

  • is it drop D tuning???

  • Originally the composition is in D tuning, however for the sake of the lesson, I played it in E tuning. Gilbert also plays it on E tuning on his gigs, and iprovises a lot wherever he can. No drop tuning.

  • how to play

    that intro

    when i try to play

    it sound very awful

    ????

  • Try it harder :D

    Eventually you will succeede!

  • @Lockey2ska palm muting...........

  • @prenton11 haha~ thanks ^^

  • i always plant, 2 reasons my entire right hand had got 3rd degree burns so in general i lost some feeling so planting helps me stay where i need to be and the 2nd reason is planting for me feels more solid and the 2 types of stringing movement- loose wrist movement or stiffened wrist movement i play stiff so planting also keeps me in my range of movement.

  • If I may ask, are you anchoring your right hand there with the 4th finger? I ask because I stopped doing that when people told me it would hinder my playing, but you just proved them wrong here!

  • Do you feel comfortable while anchoring your hand? That is the only question you want to ask yourself. I do. And noone can prove me wrong. There are a lots of guitarists who are doing the same thing and guess what, they are still amongst the best...be yourself.

  • Thats good advice there, thank you :)

  • Are you using an effect pedal ? Thanks for you video man.

  • No, the entire song has been played with a Line 6 Toneport UX 1 through my PC.

  • are you using pod farm for the tone??? it sounds incredible

  • No, just the Toneport...

  • A lesson from for Mr Scary from George lybch would me awesome:)

  • I just love that song...nothing's imposible tho... :)

  • just forget about it sorry because my english is bad

  • sorry i mean how the sound goes long?

  • I don't quite understand this, can you please tell me the exact time in the video when that sound happens?

  • how do you make long sound like 4 beat?using effect?or something?,btw 5 star

  • Thank you!

What dou you mean by that?

  • In the solo section you can use the E phrygian dominant and later the F# blues, F# minor, and again the E phrygian dominant.

  • Thank you :)

  • What scale is this song playd in?,If we were gonna improvise on the solo what scales should we imrpovise in?Thank youuuuuu

  • awesome

  • wow.. unbelievably clean

    what tuning is this?

  • For the purpose of the lesson, the tuning's on E. However Paul plays it in D tuning on his record. On his gigs, he usually plays it in E.

  • AMAZING performance Zsolt!! FLAWLESS! Can't wait to see this published on GMC :D

    /Dexxter

  • An octave higher than the original fretted note. It's a natural harmonic.

  • hey men the tappings from the chorus on wich fret did you play'em?
