Thing is, there's two pendants you can get before that point which completely nullifies that attack, but if you don't have them on Ness or in storage, you can't leave to get them. The Earth Pendant at least has some resistance to that attack, but still a small chance of that KO...

Just buy the pendant they sell at the store, it blocks fire, ice and flash attacks.

Heck, buy three of them and give two to your sister to hold onto- then give Paula and Jeff the other's. Some of the better equipment you can buy. PSI Flash can kill things in one hit, that glorious light's is Ness's Nightmare's Version.

Because he has a OHKO attack, and you're also playing this part with one character, so it effectively becomes an instant Game Over attack.

I'm not necessarily saying it's hard, it's just that you can very easily lose to Ness' Nightmare by pure chance. That makes it a rather frustrating boss unless you're in luck.

The same thing happened to me, so i figured you needed a special item to beat it. Grinded up SO HIGH in Magicant looking for it. At least when i realized that you didnt need one i wasnt level 99 so i still got the bonus :)

Giygas always used to get half my team with his Psi flash attack until I figured out which armors actually protected against it.

You can not grasp the true form of Giygas' attack, Ness got hurt and collapsed, paula got hurt and collapsed, Jeff got hurt and collapsed, Poo started crying.

Takes bad luck for that to happen; Flash Gamma is only instant death 2/16 of the time. Though even Omega is only 3/16 of the time.
