Due to the lack of the London Life element in the EU release I was going to import the US version but then read a number of comments about the dreadful US releases voice actor. Having heard it (and considering I'm buying this as a present for someone else) I actually prefer the US version... and I'm British. The UK version sounds like a miniature Dick Van Dyke set to burst into Chim Chim Cher-ee...

@TheHappiestFerret im in exactly the same position. i think the accent in the uk version is too cockney, i just ordered a US copy of the game because its the voice that i heard in the original trailer and personally I think it sounds MUCH better.

I think I'm starting to think that UK Luke sounds better for the 2nd trillogy and US Luke sounds better for the 1st trillogy... true, the UK Luke does sound slightly younger than the US Luke voice, and I really didn't mind his voice in Eternal Diva because of this... ^^

(he also sound twice as cute in Last Specter/Specter's Call compared to US Luke, since his voice sounds younger...)

But I like both voices greatly... I don't mind either or... ^^

much prefer US luke, but it's hard to be objective because I've grown so accustomed to it. UK version just feels a little TOO enthusiastic, a little too squeaky child-like.

I just heard the voices were different earlier today, but I still prefer US's posh Luke. Luke is actually 13 in the games (at least so far) so the UK voice strikes me as much too young for the character. And I'd rather have an annoying posh kid voice instead of an annoying childish voice on a 13 year old.

personally i like us luke better but they both have downs us luke: he sounds like hes not trying to act but sometimes he sounds over exagerated uk luke: the kid sounds like a freaking 5 year old and luke in the game is about 9 or 10. also they both have ups us luke: he actully sounds like a 9 or 10 year old would sound and talks more dramaticly uk luke: he sounds good and like he's really brittish i wouldn't doubt he is..... for a 5 year old otherwise great.

US Luke is insulting to the British. He sounds like an american trying to do a posh accent, but failing. We Brits sound NOTHING like that. Although this might as well be the case for UK Luke, at least he doesn't sound like he's trying to hard...

People are saying that his UK voice is a bit too young for him,well you should try hearing my voice once in a while ^^ I really hate when people try and guess my age cause they always say 6 sometimes 5.

The US one was a lot better in the first game, but I'm actually more fond of the UK one in the second. Funnily enough, in Australia we got the US voice in the first game but then the UK one from then on.

I prefer the US dub myself, he sounds a little closer to his age. While the accent of UK Luke is more authentic, the voice itself is not.

Luke's about 12 not 13-14, cos he's a primary school kid like it says in the 3rd game. So i think US Luke sounds too old and way too posh. Not to mention he doesnt sound british...he sounds american :L trust me, i kno what a british 12 year old boy sounds like.

I take it they just used the EU voice in both versions of The Curious Village? I live in the US and he has the UK voice in this copy, which I thought was local. Or maybe I just somehow ended up with a foreign copy? Anyway, US Luke sounds like the stereotype, but UK Luke has a legitimate accent. Plus he sounds more like the correct age. Leaning towards EU Luke.
