OMG! Thank you so much for putting this on here. I have been scowering the internet for a new dragonfly necklace that is just sterling silver or something because it was tarnished for over a year now. It was a Christmas present and I loved it. This worked wonders. Thank you very much.

i also use this method on my real jewelry since i was 10 yrs old. But with those i use an old toothbrush with the toothpaste to get in the nooks and crannies real well.

FaSHii0NBAB3Z 4 months ago
@FaSHii0NBAB3Z Tried it with both fake gold and silver, but it only worked for silver. I'll have to find a different remedy for my gold.

abcdef1237333 10 months ago
Never rub your jewelry with a paper towel, you can scratch it. Use a jewelry cloth to buff.

Toothpaste corrodes (damages) metals dont use it on fake or real jewelry you idiots.
Use a degreaser like lemon fresh dish soap. Takes a few minutes.
Personally i pour goasoline into a plastic throw-away cup and dip my neclace in their the grime melts away in 2 seconds.
polish it off with 100% cotton cloth.

Fluoride brakes apart metals and jewelry is not 100% silver or gold it's 10% other (usually copper).
Well i guess it will remove the rust but it will also try to separate the copper from the silver or copper from gold and your jewelry WILL corrode.
Just do the research. Fluoride was used to separate uranium-235 from uranium-238.
Typical American Idiots i swear. vote me down if you like i'm just trying to help you out.
knowing you guys i'm sure that won't matter.
