    Verse 2, line 3 is 'quithy quithy quack' !!

    As part of the Tynedale folkband Combine in the late 1960s, this song was one of our favourites - in fact, we gave a rendition at Boons bar, Wakefield only 4 weeks ago at a reunion !

  • Is there anyone who can offer me any advice into how to sing this song without screeching on the third line of each verse? Also, line three verse two - what does belamy say? Is it "quivvy quivvy quack"?

    It is a fantastic song, absolutely fantastic.
