I know how James sounds live now days, and being able to hear the album with some vocal editing and some touch up, maybe this album may resurrect the Metallica errora! sorry dude but what metallica provided in post and justice was just different to what i think is the only stuff that you ever listen to on a daily basis which is metal. Open your mind up buddy. Post and justice is what made them great. It showed they arent the same 2 dimensional band that all the other metal bands are. No matter how long I listen to music I have still be unable to find a band that I keep comming back to. Metallica is that only band for me right now BECAUSE THEY HAVE DIVERSITY

St. Anger had some heavy ass fast fucking riffs and drums it was metal, just not well put together. Also they had some good shit after ...And Justice. It really depends on who you ask in metallica as it goes for what albums the new album sounds like. If you ask james he has said serveral times he believes it is the missing link between master and justice. kirk and lars have stated it is a missing link between justice and the black album. We prolly won't know until it comes out unless we can judge it by listening to the first single.

Their songs now have a faster beat and play more on the neutral pentatonic scale rather than the minor one.

it's funny how people can judge from hearing 5 seconds of a new song. Poor metallica, they made such great early albums they are gonna' be criticized for not making Master of Puppets over and over again. What a Catch 22. You know what another problem is, is that some guys just get convinced right away with those 5-10 seconds of a song, they're just ok with whatever new stuff this band plays. I dont want another killem all or MOP again. But the progression and change between those albums was huge. I want some sort of that. Because so far, this is not expanding, this is not progression, this is the point when they sound the same.

I'll wait for the album, but I dont expect too much of it. I wanna think is great.
