@dlsandoro. Hey bro I had a straight pipe on my 03 silvy 4.8. It was louder than my buddies 5.3. The str8 pipe is so bad for the truck tho

@vinman66 How is straight pipe's bad for a truck? They sell 90% flow through and all that does is to take some of the rasp out of the stright pipe's. When you put a highflow air intake and open the exhaust up it is letting the engine inhale and exhale better.

I got a 08 silverado 4.8l i'm thinkin about puttin 3 inch true duals on it with 3.5 inch tips, do you know or think that would sound good with that small V8

yea it always did that but it didnt when i was actually driving but now i have a different set up i have dual borla turned out before the axle and no cats.

it might sound a litter deeper because of the 2.5 inch pipes but i dont know how much of a difference the tips wil make, but i touldnt go over a 3 ich tip mayb a 3.5 it will look goofy becuase it is just too big of a pipe commin out the side.

Actually a wider exhaust pipe would look bad ass. I have an 08 silverado& I had a 6inch diesel exhaust pipe comeing off the muffler. Sounded good. That wasn't enough. I just installed dual 6inch wide exhaust stacks on it.. Has a nice deep rumble& burble to it. Runs 10 times better now too!! Check out my vids. I have 2. One with the straight cut 6inch wide stacks& now my new 6inch wide aussie cut stacks.. No muffler. Just the cats left of her!! Let me know what ya thinK!

do u think it would sound a little deeper with 4" tips. I've got a 2006 4.8 reg cab with duals (Ypipe) that are 2.5 inches all the way out. i dont know if i should get like 3, 3.5, or 4" tips.
