  • Beautiful.

  • @Indyrockfan .. Because it IS a big deal, but not being a songwriter, I don't expect you to understand that, just respect it. I AM "chilled out". This is how I make my living. There aren't just missing words, the ones that are there are wrong. I went to your favorites page and you have some very tasteful videos. I see no reason to call you a douche in return, but then again, I have no cause to lash out at you either. Try and control yourself. Thanks to cekelathersheys for putting this on.

  • ahhh

    so much beauty

    too much beauty

  • so beautiful. check out my cover, true dylan fans will like it i think

  • i kow it sounds weird but this song is so beautiful and sad at the same time

  • @kikitozor you fucking douch bag, you should be happy that other people could discover Bob Dylan, i don't even speak english but you sound so fuckin stupid.

  • "I can’t hear the echo of my footsteps

Or remember the sounds of my own name"

    sounds very lonesome to me

  • @SlightlyUsedMusician missing a couple of words isn't that big of a deal douche, so chill out

  • we where listening to bob dylan in class and this girl asked when he died.. what has the world come too.. ):

  • @MrBlackraiin Especially when people don't know the difference between where and were.

  • @ahomevideoonline sorry i dont care about minor grammar problems when im listening to bob dylan. if i wanted to to be tought english i would go to english class. last time i checked you were not my teacher. (:

  • @ahomevideoonline Silly troll ;)

  • @MrBlackraiin ;) lol

  • The Walking Dead <3

  • If you're going to cut and paste lyrics, at least take the time to make corrections and get them right. As a songwriter, nothing is more disrespectful than having your lyrics butchered by a bunch of mullets. If you want to hear a very respectful version of this song, in my opinion, Nickel Creek kept it as close to the artist's intent and covered it with a very tasteful version, but of course they couldn't have done that without Mr. Dylan's original display of genius. What brilliance !!!!

  • Lying in your bed , never good.Better to lay.

  • Such a poet!

  • Written and recorded by Dylan in December 1962..I've been listening to it since 1970,,,,it never gets old.

  • I was watching the Walking Dead and I recognized Dylan's voice instantly when this came on. Y'all can argue if you want. but personally I'm glad that the classics are remembered, even in mainstream media. There is absolutely nothing wrong with introducing people to good music.

  • wtf is a shazam.

  • @TheFredFilz Oh, excuse me if I stomped on your Dylan feelings... The Walking Dead still Rocks...

  • brilliant

  • THE WALKING DEAD :D

  • If today was not an endless highway,

If tonight was not a crooked trail,

If tomorrow wasn't such a long time,

Then lonesome would mean nothing to you at all.

Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin',

Yes, and if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin',

Only if she was lyin' by me,

Then I'd lie in my bed once again.

  • I can't see my reflection in the waters,

I can't speak the sounds that show no pain,

I can't hear the echo of my footsteps,

Or can't remember the sound of my own name.

Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin',

Yes, and if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin',

Only if she was lyin' by me,

Then I'd lie in my bed once again.

  • There's beauty in the silver, singin' river,

There's beauty in the sunrise in the sky,

But none of these and nothing else can touch the beauty

That I remember in my true love's eyes.

Yes, and only if my own true love was waitin',

Yes, and if I could hear her heart a-softly poundin',

Only if she was lyin' by me,

Then I'd lie in my bed once again.
