It is very clever in my opinion.

The use of sepia tone (brown) images and slow motion gives it a feeling of "past memories" and adds to the haunting feel of the song.

There have been several cover versions that speed the song up and spoil its haunting feel. it is not meant as a dance track!

As others have said, this is not a remix but the original version.

However, this particular version for the LP and I think 12" single was actually recorded in 1986, not 1987.

I always thought that the more popular 7" (1987) version was sung with very little meaning, as if they were reluctant to re-recorded it

Just listen to the extended saxophone solos in comparison to the 7" version - what a difference!

This is by no doubt the original & best. & I wish they would play this on our radios!
