Could someone please tell me the name of the fish at 1.43?? They are blue/purple with a yellow fin and tail?? I think theres three of them in there. (theres two of them at the bottom at 00.12 aswell) Thanks
Can anybody please tell me what is the species of the orange coloured fish in the bottom centre frame at 13 seconds? I have a pair of these but the shop I bought them off didn't know what they were. They have successfully bred in the past, but I think the male just became a female and I'm very confused so i really need to know what it is to research further! Thanks in advance!
i have a problem with algae in my malawi tank, how do you keep the algae down in yours? do you think i would benifit from adding another external filter?
@monkynutzuk get to anguistus plecs (dawalf plec) i got two in my tank and i havent got ne algae plus they r better then normal plecs becos once the normal plec gets bigger it dnt eat as much algae where the dawalf ones only grow to the size of ur index finger and eat loads
hey whats the green camo looking one in there i recieved one as a gift and dont know what he is i just know he is afraid of my danio zebra ha ha imagine that!!! anyway what is he? respond plz
Notice you got a red tale shark in there?. He still alive and well?. I thought there PH was around 7?. Nice tank with good mix of fish:)..Was asking because my son like the red tale but im having cichlids with a PH of 8ish. Will the red tale b ok??..All the best DM.
Hey bro, it would be nice if you can put up a list of the type of Cichlids that you have, both with the scientific names and names that a lot of the common people can recognize. :)
@BradMcAdam What other fishes or sea creature can u keep with cichlids. ive gt a tank with cichlids but what some more differentiation in the tank any help. nice setup by the way.
@BradMcAdam i heard u cant mix loaches with malawi because malawi are more aggressive.. i have pleco...is there anything else i can have mix with them.
I like to feed Cuke 'n Zuke type veggies too. My South Americans love it! I have to say, those Burmese botia are a nice touch! Are you against adding any Tanganyikans? I could understand, but I can think of more than one of the Lamprologus and Julidichromis species that would look amazing in there.
If those rocks fall over there going to scrape your tank wall or crack it, they have underwater compond that hold rocks together. Doctors foster and smith has some on their site.
The rocks took a month to get situated like you see.I restack them every other month and never have a problem.Once you do it a few hundred times you get good at stacking rock.
can you recommend some mildy aggressive cichlids for a 55g? this is what i have already: 2 Yellow labs 2 Afra Cichlids 1 peacock cichlid 2 electric blue johannis 1 red tailed shark 2 bumble bee cichlids 1 eureka red cichlid 1 demonasi cichlid 2 azureus cichlid i would like to keep about 25-30 and i only have 14 so please tell me if my combonation is good and name some other, hardy and semi aggressive cichlids. awesome tank!
how much australian dollars do you think it would coast to set up something like this? how much did you pay? including Fish And Sump just a guess doesnt have to be exact
wow nice tank..i always wanted something like this, do you mind giving me some info on how to set up something like this and where can i buy those type of cichlids, thanks
Hey Brad, what's that spotted fish on second 00:52 on the left? Is it a peacock (Aulonocara nyassae)? Because I've got one just like it and can't figure out.
It's not too bad with sand. All the trash accumulates on top of the sand and you suck it up with a hose while doing water changes which occur once a week.
They were stacked a little at a time over a two month period.Very secure.I know it looks scary but I wouldn't risk a 225 gallon aquarium getting destroyed.
Splendid set up! I just didn't have the courage to build my rocks as high. Now I've seen how deeply they excavate the sand underneath, I'm glad I kept the rocks at a mere 12" tall. Thank you for posting!
