I might add that I'm also very inspired by the Gospel of Thomas--- by far the most profound (and also the most historically authentic) of the gospels in my opinion. I am the composer of this piece, but Catherine added a lot of ecstatic improvisation that surprised and delighted me. We're planning to record a much fuller version of it someday.
I tried to add a comment some time ago without success. I am so pleased that you have added these videos. Though she and Joseph are acquaintances of mine I have never had the opportunity of seeing them perfom in concert. They are incredible musicians and wonderful teachers. I added all of these to my favorites.
The words (sung in the original Greek) are spoken by Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas. English translation: "Split the wood, I am there. Turn over a stone, and you will find me." Other words and dervish zikrs in Arabic and in Hebrew are added by the singer, including the famous "Asher Ehye Asher" meaning "I am what I am" , the words of God to Moses.
ooops! I meant to say "Ehye Asher Ehye" ... according to one theory, these are the mysterious "three words" which Jesus whispered to Thomas in Logion 13
Wow how thrilling!

Any idea what the rest of the words are? This is a fantastic song. I have been devoted to the Gospel of Thomas as my scripture for years.
