  • @ashmeat Thanks so much for your careing thoughts even if I do get another dog it wont replace my loss Del.Some people who dont have pets dont realise that any animal is part of your family.

  • Awww this bought tears to my eyes my samoyed did this while he fetched his ball to play unfortunately he died 2 months ago he was 8 years old and I miss him so much I would do anything to have him back.Your samoyed is a double of my samoyed he was called Del its just like looking at him I always remember the 1st day I bought him home when he was a puppy and he ate my pie well I made the mistake of leaving it on the floor he was so small as a puppy.

  • id imagine that this is what beastiality porn would sound like....

  • that is so cute. i'm sorry for you lost but i bet he is one happiest dog in the world. ^^

  • reminds me of my dog..not the looks, just the way he acts. I have a Portuguese water dog, love her to death.

  • my dog passed away on Jan ,28 2008 to March , 5 2009

  • I am so sorry for your loss...He had such a cute face and beautiful fur...

  • He was beautiful...Samoyeds are such magnificant dogs. I'm so sorry for your loss...just keep the good memories of him with you forever.

  • He was a beautiful boy! I'm sure he brought you much happiness.

We have Samoyed Rescue Sammies too. They are wonderful.

  • William was just beautiful..so sorry for your loss...xxx

  • MOAR!

  • OMG...am sorry about him :(

  • william says : dont stop !!! ^^

  • quiero un bebe de esossss, snif

  • We are so sorry for your loss. We've always been big fans of your videos and feel that we knew William personally. Our Samoyed, Bili (aka Stoats) passed away on Friday October 9th. He was only 3 . We miss him terribly, and checking in to see William on a regular basis has helped to lift our spirits.

  • Oh, what a cutie! We have a SFSR Sammy, too -- we're so sorry for your loss! William was a smart guy, you can tell from the video.

  • Oh William is so precious!!! What a wonderful dog. I am so sorry for your loss. We have Samoyeds too.

  • very nice and obedient dog

    sorry for your loss

  • I have just lost a samoyed dog aswell. He was 12 years old.

  • Sorry mate. It's heartbreaking, I know. We lost our scruffy little samoyed two years back. We still think about her daily though. I hope you are kept happy by his memory.

  • I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your fur baby. He was a lovely dog.

  • Oh no. I can't believe he is gone. I've watched this video so many times, I felt I knew William. Very sorry to hear about William's passing. He was a beautiful, delightful creature. His memory will stay with you forever.

  • william is a beautiful dog. sorry for your loss.

  • Sammys are wonderful dogs and William is the best proof. I also own one and she's so sweet. I have a young kitten now and he really likes to play with his "big sister". They're like little children. :-)

  • that bark/rub in the head trick is so cute

  • What a gorgeous Samoyed. He was very lucky to have been adopted by a wonderful family that took great care of him. So sorry for your loss, though nice that his final years were spent in a loving home.

  • i might get one. should i? i have a cat, and i hear they get along well with other pets. do you think one will get along with the cat?

  • So sad to hear about your dog passing away, but at least he was adopted by people who obviously loved him. He had a good life with you :)

  • Woah! thats a big Samoyed! =D much bigger than mine, we have a girl though, shes 15 now and shes been my best friend since we were both Pups =P

  • such a good dog :)

  • Fall 1996 I was climbing Trinchera Peak Colorado 13,517 feet with Frosty. Terrain gradually steepened to class 4, hands required for climbing. 700 feet short of peak Frosty sat down. He knew he could not go higher, and also that I wanted to. Such a smart dog. As I went up I continued speaking to him & also on return so he'd know I wasn't leaving him. Upon return we descended to campground. Please don't anyone smoke & breed dogs, genetic damage could be the result & fire risk is wrong.

  • They are great dogs. They need lots of exercise. Brush them often.

Zach that is so sad, I'm glad you rescued him these are the sweetest dogs. I had one when I was six her name was Lady, very tolerant sweet dog. I love their fuzzy soft ears.

  • I have a 1 yr old samoyed too, she's the most beautiful dog in our county :) and yes, you have to care of them, play a lot, you can't imagine how much :) but some might say: the more people you know, you better like animals :)

  • Aw hes so cute my brother wants one!

  • he is so cute!

  • Really watch the eyes slightly widening on the first bark, he's saying "Hey! I may or may not like that! Do it again!".

I love my Sammy but I'm losing her after 15 years.

  • @Dogfoodsa I relate to your loss, mine passed on in 2004 and she was 15 yo. My furry white fluffy is in doggie heaven.

  • @compxci I'm sorry to hear that. I still come back and watch the Sammy videos when I miss my Bailey and the story of William always is a bittersweet lift to my day. Samoyeds will always be my favorite dog, such personality.

  • @Dogfoodsa yes, I have saved some videos of Sammy's from YouTube as my favorites, it is good to hear the Sammy speak, howl and play. Brings back good memories, I understand that though it is not healthy to mourn an animal like I do with my Nikki nevertheless, I still mourn. There comes a time when people ask me about a photo they see on my frig of Nikki and ask, "what kind of dog is that?" I have to swallow my tears and tell them she was my "baby".

  • @Dogfoodsa Because I don't have kids of my own, that dog was like a child too me. I fed, cleaned, played, took her to the vet when she was ill. She loved me unconditionally, just as I am and I miss her. Surely, on the day of resurrection, I will see her again.

  • Samoyeds are the best! :D

  • Aw i'll always love samoyeds. I grew up with one that looked and sounded just like this..she passed away back in 2006. Samoyeds are such beautiful dogs..inside and outside. I miss mine so much :( thanks for the video though! William is adorable :)

  • I sometimes run with mine but she always stops to sniff at something, they shouldn't run in the heat because they'll get too hot!

  • beautiful dog!!!! ahaha makes me laugh the way he looks at the owner when they stop petting him for that one second LOL

  • gorgeous dog

do all samoyed look as good as this? i wanna get one myself. Is it posible to run with it? thx

  • It's true, we wouldn't do this with a puppy. William is an old dog however and was very traumatized from being on the streets for a long time. He had developed a fear of people and even objects. When we first rescued him from the shelter, he would hide in the corner of the room scared of any visitors. We were just so amazed to see him act this way, playful and happy. We've since stopped this type of play. We're delighted to have him healthy and happy again.

  • I love samoyeds. They are the best!

  • So how do you know when you're not reinforcing the barking or just playing(without learning the dog to bark)?

  • Unless they are giving a command or signal, they are teaching the dog to bark.. It's probably not the smartest idea.. cute now, but not when you dont want it to bark.

  • How do you mean? A signal or command for a dog to bark?

  • If they are not using a hand signal or a spoken comand to ask the dog to bark. Then the dog is being rewarded just for barking.

The dog will then think barking=praise

The dog should only be rewarded if he has been asked to bark.

eg saying "speak" then the dog barking then reward.

If the dog barks when he is not asked to he should not be rewarded.

  • Are you the dog whisperer? They're just playing with the dog.

  • No I am not the dog whisperer. Playing is how most animals learn (humans too)

I'm sorry if I have offended, it was not my intention, I was just answering someones question. You can never tell the whole situation from a 1.5 min video so I am not passing judgement.

I like the video and thing the dog is gorgeous.

  • think* not thing =)

  • I wasn't offended, :) I was just thinking maybe you were reading too much into it, thats all. I agree, the dog is amazing is gorgeous!

  • Teaching the dog, not learning.

  • what a sweetie

  • William so cute and Fluffy XD!

  • So precious, glad he's a rescue samoyed that's lucky enough to have found a great family to play with!

  • mine usually behaves the same wain in those situations

  • i used to have a samoyed named rascal but he passed in early 2005

  • he is soo damn fluffy

  • soo cute but remember to shave him a bit in the summer! (f it gets pretty warm where you are)

  • Shave him? Are you nuts? Their coat protects them from extreme weather.

  • no im not nuts... mine had a heatstroke

  • That's your fault from not keeping him/her cooler. My three samoyeds are fine in the summer , UNshaved because I always have water available and always have a damp cool towel to put on their neck/stomach/ and back. Thanks to that, all my fully coated males DIDN't have a heatstroke, and don't have sunburn.

    Common sense people!

  • ok your an idiot.... i live in 100 degree weather and i did all that. its not my fault its the weathers.. trust me ive had over 4 sammys... my friend is a breeder.

  • I'm the idiot? Why would you have Sammies if you already lived in 100 degree weather! I really do not care if your friend is a breeder. That adds nothing to your argument but stupidity. I've been showing sammies for over 16 years, I think I know just a little bit about them. If you were out walking them in 100 degree weather, shame on you. If you keep them inside with the AC on and a fan going they will not be hot!

  • omfg.. who cares if you show them! thats not my problem. im actually nice to mine and let them run around outside! if you expect me to keep them inside, then you are a cruel dog owner. they need a lot of space. the outdoors is where they belong and im not gunna take that away from him. The weather is not up to me.

  • You're right, it's not your problem, in fact it's not a problem at all. It's called experience! Cruel dog owner ha yeah alright. Controlled exercise! You have a computer, look up the weather forecast! See when the coolest part of the day is and then let them run or take them for a jog! You watch, one day your dogs are going to have sunburn, especially with pink skin and you'll feel incredibly guilty. You'll learn.

    Goodbye.

  • i really miss having my samoyed

  • Cutie little Samoyed!!!!

  • So gorgeoussss.

    I really want a Samoyed :]

  • he's gorgeous, for real. *.*

  • He is sooo preety I am soo happy they saved him :]

  • Happy barks :3

  • I'm so happy for you and William. He's so friendly because you set great examples for him and helped him recover from a devastating hip breakage.

  • I have a smiley too. He looks as endearing as William. Anyway, I hope you will treasure him. Dogs are really man's best friend.

  • We adopted a Newfoundland and he does the exact same thing!! Your boy is precious!!

  • He is beautiful and I am so glad you have given such a wonderful home and a better Life.

  • William is beautiful. Great of you to rescue a sammy. Looks like he has a hot paw, poor pup! I used to have two samoyeds. Hope they win at Westminster!

  • Soooo cute

  • lol, looks like a big polar bear! cute!

  • william is so adorable!

  • I wouldn't want a samoyed. How can you say no to a face like that!

  • thank you for this video i gotta admit it made me cry, i lost my samoyed ''ted'' a couple months ago we miss him very much. they are such beutifull dogs

  • i really want a dog like this. but i dont know who would take care of him wen i go to university. do people just leave thier dogs at home?

  • I've heard that samoyed's are hypoallergenic but they shed a lot, similar to the american eskimos which are smaller but I believe their coats are almost the same. I'm allergic to dogs but I've always wanted one like my cousins A.eskimo. So any owners here with allergies that have had problems with samoyed's?

  • Have you considered the Japanese Spitz? It's similar to the American Eskimo, but also hypoallergenic. And the coats are basically maintenance free.

  • They look adorable and smaller which is fine by me. But I can't find any information stating that they are hypoallergenic.

  • I'm afraid I don't have anything better than a dog magazine (Swedish Härliga Hund issue 4 2008) to back up the claim. However a dog that is hypoallergenic to some may be allergenic to others and vice versa.

Some breeders may actually give you a wad of hair to take home and see if there's a reaction.

  • At the end, I think he wants to give you a pat in return.

  • It looks more like a high five :)

  • I work at a pet hotel and we just got a sammi that looks like him! he's kinda old though, but i love him so much.

  • i got my sammy from the very same orginization

  • Fantasic dog

  • he is sooooo cute!!! i have a samoyed dog but he isnt so fluffy!

  • he's so cute!!!! I love sammies.

  • torhay i agree with HammandClov samoyeds arnt dominant dogs when i had a samoyed i used to play fight with her all the time she would sometimes bark at me but she new i was playing with her and wouldnt hurt me she was so friendly

  • he's adorable but be careful. it's no good if the dog gets used to bark and you immediately do what he wants. he should remember that you are the leader.

    however, very cute!

  • Torhay - Samoyed are not dominant dogs. That's why they are known for their smiles, because they are gentle dogs. The Chow Chow, on the other hand, his cuteness belies his stubbornness and dominance, but the Samoyed is really no difference than a Golden Retriever in that it WANTS all that attention and affections his owners were giving him. You don't have to be dominant over every type of dog. Some dogs you can be easy with.

  • Well said

  • I've bred sammies my whole life, they are most definitely NOT dominant dogs or anything like it. They have amazing characters.

  • Way cute and funny!!! I've just posted a "video response" of our dog Gorbi getting "trained" in eating his apple dessert ... enjoy!

  • Such a sweetie! I wanna give him a hug. I love how at the end when he rolls over, he puts his paw up like he wants a high five :-) So cute!

  • What a talker, he has a lot to say! Such a handsome samoyed - he knows he deserves a lot of petting :)

  • What a little cutie! I love the smiles.

  • My samoyed puppy will born on 14th of May :) I'm really excited about her :)

William's movie is the best I've ever seen of samoyeds :P He's adorable!! Like he would say "go on, don't stop" with every barking :P

  • thats a big sammy! but soooo adorable. (nn,)

  • he is adorable !

  • Because he likes it!

  • it luks like my samoyed but mine isnt exactly that playfull still love her tho llol

  • "Stooooop iiiit!" he says. XD

But I think he likes the attention, anyway. Silly puppy.

  • such a smiling cutie

  • your dog is gorgeous! im so glad u rescued him

  • i love it's bark and howling XD

  • he is sooooooooooo cute!! i love him

i love how he answers X3

i am very glad you rescued him

may he have a long and happy life with you guys!!!

  • My grandma has had many samoyeds in her life, and they've become one of my favourite dogs!

William is very lucky to be adopted by such a nice family!

  • Samoyeds are sooo cute dogs <33333

  • I love how Samoyeds are almost always up for a conversation - my Samoyed always had something to say.

  • aww

    *-*

    iloveit

  • I don't know why I laughed at this lol, it was just soo cute.

  • he is beautiful i wish i had on but sadly i like in kentucky...

  • This shouldn't keep you from having sammies. We live in Nashville and have had samoyeds for over 25 years. In the summer when it is so terribly hot, I keep them inside where it is air conditioned. Also, all that hair actually helps to keep them cool in the summertime.

  • yeah i know it shound't but we have so many dogs already.. 5 to be exact...and they all live inside..

  • poor dog XD so lovely

  • Samoyeds just love their people. I guess he just had to figure out you were gonna be his people and he settled right in.

  • Paw licking,. nico does the same.. good smiling sam jam

  • Sweet samoyed

  • awesome!

  • Cute!

  • He's been licking that paw.... My sammy does the same. They all talk the same.

  • Yeah, we fill his toy with peanut butter and he puts it on his paws and licks it off! We rescued him from the shelter and he was a very quiet and shy dog, so it's great to finally hear his voice!

  • When my sammie and his sister get a teaspoon of peanut butter, they immediately lick their right leg! William is very handsome, so good he's in his "forever" home!
