Standard redline of a F22C is 8000rpm, F20C 9000rpm. Standard revcut is ard 8280rpm for F22C, 9300rpm for F20C. My revcut is currently raised to 8700rpm, but there's really not much point in revving so high cuz my standard cams dun push out more power at that rpm. There are many hondas that run >10000rpm in Japan, with quite a bit of work done to the engine block that is, usually the b16 or b18 blocks.
@racingminds Japanese type R's hit 9K all day, the b16a can hit 9K with a little bit of work, and i have seen/driven a B18C (type r) hit 10 with work done.
@akademiks604bc lol, at a guess you don't even own a car because that's all fairly standard terminology. If it doesn't raise the redline kindly explain how I have numerous videos of my car redlining at 8,000 rpm when as standard it's only 7,250. You can't? Thought not. Hats off to the keyboard warrior!
Hehehe .... i've got Jenvey ITBs on my ST170 and they like to spit flames :) I bet they sound absolutely epic at 11,000 rpm or whatever it is the S2000 revs up to. My laptop speakers just don't do it justice!
@akademiks604bc I think MK 1 S2000's redlined at 9,000 a standard. Assuming some engine work was done when fitting the ITBs it probably won't be that far off a mentalist 10/11k. I upped the redline to 8,000 when fitting ITBs and that was on a Ford Focus ffs!
@akademiks604bc quite a big spec list. Gone for a V4 ECU (probably wouldn't do so again - M-tech motorsport were a pain in the arse on supply times) plus some engine goodies. Lightened / knife-edged crankshaft, ARP con-rod bolts, piper cams... and a STACK tachometer as the standard one ends at 7,250 rpm. There's some videos on my channel :)
