That's not the murder beam, it's the time/space beam. Murder is ALL 5. VAR is simply having both spazer and plasma on.

Maybe, but when you get the hyper beam, it lists it as the only beam. Your best bet would be this:

Get VAR beam just as the Metroid is finished attacking Mother Brain, then fire it when Mother Brain comes back. Then fire a super missile at the left wall, and escape! Hope it helped

@TheDeathharbinger Yes. After you use this cheat, and save, you get sent to the beginning of the game with all of your equipment (except for regular missiles). You can beat all of the bosses and play the whole game all over again. Except with more power!

Um, okay, you did not use the Murder Beam. The Murder Beam is when ALL of the five beams are equipped. When you equpi all of them except for the Wave Beam, it is called the Time Space beam.

the no green shell for metroids is a sprite flicker meaning that if its gone your framerate needs a bit of a tweaking from the ususal skip 17-20-22 frames

Face left (no diagonal), charge your beam, then while charging hit start and have Charge/Ice/Wave/Spazer equipped. Then move the cursor to Speed Booster, and press the left and fire buttons at the same time to equip all 5 beams at once. Then press start again and release the fire button. This will create the Murder Beam on screen, a glowing ball of energy that carries great destructive power.

It was the result of restarting the game, if you restarted the game then saved the next time you play the game you'll fight Ridley, and you will have the same items after you just saved, but they take all your missiles.

See when you restart you still have your gear. then the game sets your missles to four for the cut scene where you "kill" mother brain. then it removes them. hope that helps.

murder beam would be when all the beams are on at once, including wave. using that beam at the areas you listed would freeze the game immediately if not used correctly.

The little metroids were created using the DNA of the big metroid. The big metroid was the one that Samus rescued, it thought she was its mother, and it was stolen at the beginning of the game. That's why it saves her.

It works better on the wii than SNES because it has more RAM. I have tested myself and I get the game crashed before I reach to samus's ship. Maybe you should download super metroid from the virtual console if you have the wii.

I notice that you live in UK. Super Metroid in European version work even worse. I think I would recommend emulator for your PC. If you looking for roms to download online, look for (JU). (E) is not good for glitching and stuff.

It's impossible to reset the game with hyper beam because it will "erase" the hyper beam after you save/reset and will restore the beam back to normal.
