  • Really nice advise! I've been all night looking for some excersices that would help me with the finger cords. And this is the only helpful one!

    thanks!

  • F#m is MY hard chord :/

  • Beats me why you'd want to practice something that doesn't sound good - even if you're building finger strength.

  • teh D chordas are easiest lolz =)

  • lol c was the first i learned cuz i thought it was easiest. G was crazy hard for me

  • e minor is the easiest chord :))

  • lol, yeah, but back then, i didnt know what a minor was, so i didnt want to get into it

  • when i started i thought d major was difficult hahaha

  • @tbr131 nah d minor

  • switching to and from it is hard.. =[

  • c is really easy for me, g is my hard chord

  • it hasnt... ive worked out the problem now =]

  • ... how does his guitar sound like that?

I have an electric guitar (I'll repost when I find out the make) and it just sounds like a loud accoustic...

    is it just teh amp?

    can someone help me? :(

  • yeah dude your amp just sounds clean.

you need an amp that has distortion on it, or buy a distortion pedal that you connect to the guitar then the amp. if your amp has a drive knob on it, turn it all the way up to get an overdrive sound.

  • ok... my amp seems to have a problem with it so i can just get a new one.

  • there mite be a drive button (red or otherwise) on your guitar

  • nope.. im gonna get a pedal. =D

  • yeah i bet its ur amp. u probably have an acoustic amp. if not there should be a switch somewhere tht switches it to distortion, if not buy a new amp or buy a distortion pedal

  • get an amp with 2-channels. or get a 1-channel tube amp and crank it loudd.. then itll be good

  • ukulele sounds easy, with 4 fingers and four strings, but guitar :P hehehe as sonn as i get a 6 string im gonna try it your way!

  • Thanks, very intresting and unusual, I have not known these excercises before

  • this guy is very short

  • that g exercise isnt that good, for me, the G was the hardest chord shape to be able to play quickly just because of its awkwardness and the fact that theres not too many ways to cheat at it, but still, I would just spend time with my hands in no shape and try to make a G as quickly as possible, over and over again... Its good that youre doing lessons I just dont think finger exercises and such are necessary unless you're really getting up there and skill and need something to help push you

  • wow awesome exercises man, helping me get exotic chords down fast (:

  • Hahaha why did I forget all these techniques and stuff? I just stopped playing for about...6 months xD haha, well Thanks man, these are all the things I forgot!

  • i play an accustic guitar but whenever i try to play any chords i just get this horrid rough ringing sound how do i get it to sound clean :S

  • u sure ur strings are in tune?

  • practice

  • No his action may be bad causing fret buzz

get your guitar checked out or look up videos on you tube about it

  • k i can play that second exercise realy slowly just fine, but my wrist hurts when i do it like im stretching it too far or in an awkward postion,

  • Great exercises, thanks for the post. I'm a beginner and my fingers don't "work" but even after a few minutes of these I can already feel muscles hurting, which must mean it's doing something!

  • theres a lot of different ways to get distortion, any of these comments will work but it's hard to know exactly what to tell you without knowing what type of amp your playing with.

  • Maybe you forgot to turn on distortion. That makes a huge difference. If you just plug it in and turn the volume up yea its gunna sound weird but if you turn the distortion on it will sound less like an acoustic

  • Excuse my stupidity but, how do I get my guitar off of clean?

  • ok thanks sorry I just got it so i don't know

  • this boaring mann

  • my guitar sucks...i connect it to a amplifier and it still sucks....sound like a acoustic but on high volume! why?...and either the chords are so hard to play!

  • lol, regular amps have 3 switches, "amp" "mode" and "speaker" mess around with them bro, thats what an amplifier does

  • awesome video thnx much
