Hey everyone Im sixteen, i love hip-hop and everything about it i just wrote a song to one of sadistiks instrumentals check it out and let me know what you think /watch?v=BprKyQgAszA&list=HL1323819342&feature=mh_lolz
this song is so deep, i feel like eyedea was trying to hide a message behind this, like a cry for help, strange, its almost like he KNEW he was gonna die..
The world is blinded by so much false and pre-meditated Bs, I always look to Eyedea and the Underground scene for the truth. Why is that I relate to the dead more than the living?
as the difference between love and lust clarifies as trust
Favorite part of this song hands down. I've been listening to a lot of Rhymesayers for the past four or five years and I always had a lot of respect for Eyedea; but I never really listened to him. I'm mad at myself for not listening sooner haha. Also Abilities is one of the dopest producers I've heard of and is definitely in my top four with Ant, AmpLive and Aesop.
its not that anyone thinks alike we all feel and are going through the same thing he just put it into context for all of us too nod our heads and approve ... think deep try to expain what this is all really bout you cant because u havent put ur mind too that level of counciesnees ,, except if u listend to "the dive" and other deep tracks our thoughts that we feel cant be percieved into words because we were never taught to speek our minds until mike larson came around.. By TROAN 2012 ACK
Man Mike was such a true artist I'm sad we won't hear more but I'm glad I found what he has made. Over the past four years his music has really helped me explain things I thought but couldn't find the words and now I can tell people what I think because he and I have similar thoughts.
@JellyfishAnomaly I'm exactly the same. I find that Mikey and I thought a lot alike, and he put it into words and made it into a song. That's why I appreciate his music so much. He is the only artist I've ever been able to relate to on this sort of level.
Frig. I'm thinking a lot about him today. Nearly in tears. This guy, this song especially, touched my soul in my youth. Sad we'll never experience any new talent, and sad I never got to see him in person. I'll never forget what you brought to my life through hiphop. xo
@Asapgross theyre both musically talented. why does it matter if someone mentions aes rock, eyedea him and slug do one of the ILLEST collabs in rap history. miss by a mile. check it out

Ahhh sweet.. Another person who know's the ways of ATMA.. BTW Eyedea is also on a couple tracks of Saturday Morning Soundtracks one and only cd to date.. That is probably one of the best hip hop cds of all time....
@TairyHesticles Im just outside east london/essex england, no1 knows who eyedea is let alone propa hip-hop, i wont go on, but i feel like a fucking alien here, but like eyedea once said "Who cares for peace when you can profit from being right?"
The Living Legends deserve the status that they have right now. The music that they make these days is slowly declining, but everything that they've put out deserves at least a buy. The first few albums are great. I also appreciate the way that they made it: They started out with house parties and local recognition. That says alot for a group to go from local shows to being as popular as the Living Legends are.
Aesop is one of the best to ever grab a mic. Many people don't understand his style, whis is understandable. AR isn't for everyone; however, as a devoted hip hop fan, I assure you that he is a genius. His lyrics take numerous listens to truely appreciate. He's become a much better producer over the years, and has yet to fall off.
Alot of fans will claim that Bazooka Tooth was a bust, but I disagree. I held that opinion at first, but, after a few plays, its very well put together.
Nah bazooka tooth was good its hard to follow up after labor days I'm just not so sure about none shall pass but I'm still in love with labor days and float to care about that album yet
King, listen to aesop on hallucinagenics. For me, I didn't respect his craft NEAR as close to how I do now until I did molly and mushrooms while listening to him. Shit was a relevation.
@TairyHesticles I first got hooked on Aes with "None Shall Pass" of course. I heard it somehow as a kid so couple years later I picked up Bazooka Tooth thinking AR was pretty dope. I couldn't stand Bazooka Tooth at all. Later, I pick it up again giving it another chance and I got real into it. I guess you could say not only Bazooka Tooth, but AR is an acquired taste. A damn good acquired taste.
I really appreciate the love, but you don't owe me anything. I feel like I owe hip hop for keeping me sane all these years, and this is my way of paying my dues.
As long as I can spread good hip hop to people like yourself, I'm happy.
He's not a skater kid by any means, but yes, he's the blaze battle winner. You should really check out First Born. I've done alot of research into the listening of hip hop, and First Born is by far my favorite hip hop CD. You owe it to yourself. Check out Music Music for starters.
but he said on the blaze battle against shells, he said something and then he was like "even if i am a skater", ill try to find it, i doubt its on youtube, but ill check, ill also try to find that First Born joint, even though im not really the indy type...i just know eyedea tore anybody in his path to pieces...then he challenged mooney d "first blaze battle winner" and mooney was like "hell naw"...lol....
My top 5 seems to change from month to month. I was in a KMD frenzy just a couple months ago.
One question: Mr. Hood or Black Bastards?
I'm not too sure why I had Peanut Butter Wolf at 3. That CD shouldn't have been on the list, although it is a great CD. I usually have First Born, Madvillainy and then Deltron 3030 as my top 3.
The question of Mr. Hood vs. Black Bastards is a tough one, but I think I generally lean towards Mr. Hood, at least I listen all the way through that album more often than Black Bastards.
Have you heard Maxilla's new album? I'd check that out.

I really appreciate the love, but you don't owe me anything. I feel like I owe hip hop for keeping me sane all these years, and this is my way of paying my dues.
As long as I can spread good hip hop to people like yourself, I'm happy.
Thanks again for the feedback.

is this dude eyedea the skater kid who won the blaze battles a while ago....
jay4457 3 years ago

Have you heard the whole "First Born" CD, from start to finish?
Its my favorite hip hop CD and that's saying alot. I have about 500-600 of them.
Best CD's in order.
1. Eyedea & Abilities - First Born
2. Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
3. Peanut Butter Wolfe - My Vinyl Weighs a Ton
4. Madvillain - Madvillainy
5. Immortal Technique - Revolutionary, Vol. 1

i agree most certainly that is a very good list of cd's buy i would use kmd instead of immortal technique

It is a tough one indeed. I personally like Black Bastards over Mr. Hood for the bass tones. Even tracks like Constipated Monkey stand out.
It's a classic....but so is Mr. Hood.
