DS 80's are verry good, and reliable little bikes, thats what i learned on, I got a 1992 for xmas, It wish I never sold it, cool rebild, I didn't think you could be a FMF pipe for a DS, cool video bud, If I see a DS around here for cheap I might buy It up just to cruse around on
@TheAlexManVideos could you possibly tell me where you purchased both your fmf fatty pipe and powercore 2 silencer because i cant seem to find either one that fits my bike thats exactly as yours.
@theonetheycallsusuki actually I just redid the top end on my YZ 80 with a new wiseco piston and rings and now I have a new project which also needs top end is a kx80 so I've pulled many top ends I also did the top end a shit load on my Kdx 80 and a klx110? Get a good bike like a yamaHA, HA as in "HA I BEAT YOU!" cause yamahas are faster them kawasucki only reason I have 2 Kawasaki is because I got the Kdx for $50 and the Kx for free
@Dairyair21 I'm a PITBIKER ( A open cradled frame, 4-stroke air cooled engine with a rear rim maximum of 12'' ) at heart! I love my KLX and it's my favorite bike out of the ones I own. I have a '91 YZ 125 and I just keep it around as a spare bike, as my 2002 KX 125 is getting a Wiesco .80 over top end and crank, and a complete run though. Anyway, you can't compare yourself to me. I ride small-bore 4-strokes and you ride 2-strokes, and that's fine. I'm not a pussy, I have different tastes thanyou
@TheAlexManVideos For your FMF exhaust, fatty pipe and Powercore 2 it looks like, where did you find it? On the site i see rm80 but im pretty sure that wont fit. i have a 1998.
@Dairyair21 Lol, you're comparing a liquid cooled bike to an air-cooled bike of the same size, and saying that its not worth tuning one of them? In that case, any custom exhaust on a yz80 is a waste of money when you can get an IT175.
@Dairyair21 Dude you're a fucking twat, seriously. TAMV clearly rides PITBIKES, and his 108 ( Maybe an 88 now? ) Z50 could give your clapped out pile of shit YZ a run for its God damned money. You're seriously comparing an ( outdated ) 2-stroke liquid cooled motocross bike a machine intended for a 5yr - 8yr old kid. You've probably never pulled a top end in your life and know nothing. No bike '' sucks, '' they just carry different characteristics. I could teach you a few things on my KLX 110.
I need a jet kit for the jr 80 its the same engine and i want the same exhaust as you can you tell me what jets i should get and the website. A video on tunnig the carb and how to jet it would be greatly appreciate if possible. Thank you so much for your time :)
hello my name is eric, I just bought a 1985 ds80cc suzuki, do you have any parts or tips? Does it take premix gas or does it mix itself? My email is ebrobinson45@yahoo.com please message me back with any useful information. Thank you, btw I like your videos too.
Man I love the music setup on this man. I friggin love this video. This is seriously devoting and influencing an extreme encouragement to go for my career goal of being a motorcycle mechanic. I love this. Makes me want a SUZUKI DS80 lol. Used to be a Honda XL80. I'm changing my mind now lol
Im building two ds 80 right now 1 for me and the other for my son, my question is about the fmf exaust, where would one order thoes at I have looked every where, but no luck, 1 bike is a 1994 and the other is a 1978, my motor is almost done with porting done by me but my sons is going to be bone stock, hahah, could you please help me find the exaust?
I have a moped with exactly the same engine that yours ,exept it's 50cc.. I have plans to sometime put 80cc on it ... but check out my vid when i'm rebuiling it :) The moped is called Suzuki S1 .. :)
I like these type of videos! You should make more! Love your videos dude! Been subscribed for awhile now! BTW did the pipe and silencer make much of a difference?
i would really like 2 no i might be getting a ds 80 around a 1995 and wonderingif i get a fmf exhaust like u for a 2001 jr80 would it still fit because that the lowest year i can find 1 for a jr80 please get back 2 me
i have a 1986 SUZUKI DS80 and i was wondering how to clean the magneto because i am not getting a spark to the spark plug.? Also is it easier to run the bike with out the exterior oil tank and how did you do it? And finally where did you get your exhaust because i can't find one for this year but if they are all the same for different years? enough questions ha you could make a video of that.
Hey man.....good job.....I just got one for free from a guy that took it apart and couldnt get it back together.....I was looking through your comments and didnt see where you got your parts from....if you could let me know that would be great.
Without watching the other vid. looks like you put the piston in backwards. Dont feel bad its a common mistake. Gonna checkout other video. What kind of difference did the fmf pipe make? PS did you have to ajust your jetting with the new pipe?
hey . where have you get the fmf power core pipe and silencer from ?? i also have a suzuki ds 80cc and i have build it from the bottom. and the last thing i need is a fmf pipe and silencer .. :) . thanks .
wow memories my first bike was a blown up ds 80 when i was 6 years old me n my dad rebuilt her and rode it till i was 8 i wish i coulda had the fmf pipe tho we searched hi n low to find parts let alone preformance ones for that bike thanks for a run through the past alex man
Take off airbox, install boot to airbox, install airbox and boot onto the carb as a unit. It's nearly impossible to install the boot if the airbox is already in place.
Not all 2 strokes have an expansion chamber like weedeaters and LawnBoys for example. Expansion chambers make higher horsepower for racing or higher power applications.

N1XVAN 2 years ago
is it a 2 cycle or 4????
ils360 2 years ago
2 stroke. You can tell by the expansion chamber exhaust and no place for valves.
TheAlexManVideos 2 years ago
that is cool i had a 4 stroke with no valves it was an old yamaha GT 80
ils360 2 years ago
The GT80 is a 2 stroke. It's a common candidate for YSR50 motor swaps and the crank can be used in a YSR50 to make a stroker.
TheAlexManVideos 2 years ago
it is??? i ran it like a 4 stroke for years!!! no oil in the gas and all and it never seezed and never skored the cylinder werd ??
ils360 2 years ago
Yeah it's a 2 stroke for sure. It might have been oil injected not premix so you just fill up the oil tank.
TheAlexManVideos 2 years ago
that is cool to know thanks to bad i don't have it now
ils360 2 years ago
and it had a 4 stroke pipe on it

Not all 2 strokes have an expansion chamber like weedeaters and LawnBoys for example. Expansion chambers make higher horsepower for racing or higher power applications.

where did u put new wrispin clips in? I dont see where you did it
hockeylp87 2 years ago
It's not in the video. They were a pain in the ass to put in. They took about 10 minutes each. Figured the video was better with that left out.

Buy the JR80 pipe. It fits perfectly.

you didnt see if there was scrapings stuck to oil in the bore. after a while it would wear out your piston and lose compression

Yes I am well aware. I explained that in my other video.

It´s silicone sealant. I use it to make sure the exhaust goes out the exhaust.
