  • eso es querer una moto

  • How much did all of that cost you?

  • DS 80's are verry good, and reliable little bikes, thats what i learned on, I got a 1992 for xmas, It wish I never sold it, cool rebild, I didn't think you could be a FMF pipe for a DS, cool video bud, If I see a DS around here for cheap I might buy It up just to cruse around on

  • a please get back in touch with me and tell me

  • Comment removed

  • a where did you get the fatty from

  • @TheAlexManVideos could you possibly tell me where you purchased both your fmf fatty pipe and powercore 2 silencer because i cant seem to find either one that fits my bike thats exactly as yours.

  • Is it for sale?

  • @theonetheycallsusuki actually I just redid the top end on my YZ 80 with a new wiseco piston and rings and now I have a new project which also needs top end is a kx80 so I've pulled many top ends I also did the top end a shit load on my Kdx 80 and a klx110? Get a good bike like a yamaHA, HA as in "HA I BEAT YOU!" cause yamahas are faster them kawasucki only reason I have 2 Kawasaki is because I got the Kdx for $50 and the Kx for free

  • @Dairyair21 I'm a PITBIKER ( A open cradled frame, 4-stroke air cooled engine with a rear rim maximum of 12'' ) at heart! I love my KLX and it's my favorite bike out of the ones I own. I have a '91 YZ 125 and I just keep it around as a spare bike, as my 2002 KX 125 is getting a Wiesco .80 over top end and crank, and a complete run though. Anyway, you can't compare yourself to me. I ride small-bore 4-strokes and you ride 2-strokes, and that's fine. I'm not a pussy, I have different tastes thanyou

  • where did u find all your parts i cant find any and i have a 1995 ds 80

  • @TheAlexManVideos For your FMF exhaust, fatty pipe and Powercore 2 it looks like, where did you find it? On the site i see rm80 but im pretty sure that wont fit. i have a 1998.

  • Did u pre soak those clutch plates before u installed them?

  • A where did you get the fatty pipe and silencer from

  • Where did you get your fmf fatty pipe from and the silencer

  • Why did you waste the money for an fmf for that shitty bike I have an fmf on my yz80 but for a ds 80 they suck

  • @Dairyair21 Lol, you're comparing a liquid cooled bike to an air-cooled bike of the same size, and saying that its not worth tuning one of them? In that case, any custom exhaust on a yz80 is a waste of money when you can get an IT175.

  • @Dairyair21 Dude you're a fucking twat, seriously. TAMV clearly rides PITBIKES, and his 108 ( Maybe an 88 now? ) Z50 could give your clapped out pile of shit YZ a run for its God damned money. You're seriously comparing an ( outdated ) 2-stroke liquid cooled motocross bike a machine intended for a 5yr - 8yr old kid. You've probably never pulled a top end in your life and know nothing. No bike '' sucks, '' they just carry different characteristics. I could teach you a few things on my KLX 110.

  • any tips for getting the boot from the airbox onto the carb? im having trouble

  • Take off airbox, install boot to airbox, install airbox and boot onto the carb as a unit. It's nearly impossible to install the boot if the airbox is already in place.

  • Comment removed

  • It's possible. Rotary/Wankel engines are 4 strokes but have ports. Granted they don't even have pistons, but hey, it's possible.

  • yes 1intake 2compression 3ignition-power 4exhaust

  • is it a 2 cycle or 4????

  • 2 stroke. You can tell by the expansion chamber exhaust and no place for valves.

  • that is cool i had a 4 stroke with no valves it was an old yamaha GT 80

  • The GT80 is a 2 stroke. It's a common candidate for YSR50 motor swaps and the crank can be used in a YSR50 to make a stroker.

  • it is??? i ran it like a 4 stroke for years!!! no oil in the gas and all and it never seezed and never skored the cylinder werd ??

  • Yeah it's a 2 stroke for sure. It might have been oil injected not premix so you just fill up the oil tank.

  • that is cool to know thanks to bad i don't have it now

  • and it had a 4 stroke pipe on it

  • Not all 2 strokes have an expansion chamber like weedeaters and LawnBoys for example. Expansion chambers make higher horsepower for racing or higher power applications.

  • nice to know =) thanks =)

  • the expansion chamber makes more poer by make a tuned back prusure pusing wasted fule wack into the engine

  • @TheAlexManVideos how much u pay 4 da exhaust pipe??

  • @ils360

no dick head. it had a 2 stroke pipe on it. see the expansion chamber, yeahhh. 2 stroke!! but like he said not all engines have a chamber!!

  • Were did you get the exhaust system?? I want to rebuild my 1994 DS80 AND I CANT FIND THE PIPE.. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

  • Motorcycle superstore

  • dude i love ur bike and i have a 1980 suzuki ds80 that im rebuilding might put up a vid tomorrow of it

  • great job! Glad to see a great looking ds80 i might get one but just saying one of the pretiiest bike ever!

  • goood job, how big is the carborettor? and how big is the jet? :)

  • The carb is a Mikuni 20 or 22mm I think. The main jet is 90 or 95.

  • okay, thanks! :P

  • torque wrench newb on the head bolts and base

  • Of course I did all those things. I didn't show every single step of putting the bike together. And the piston clips were a PITA to put in for some reason. I've never had that much trouble. Each one took about 10 minutes.

  • didnt show the piston pin clip being put in did you put them in?

  • hope you soaked those clutch plates in oil overnight before you put them in the bike.

  • yo man what is that song?

  • I have a 1999 DS80 is it possible to put on a fmf power core 2 silencer or do u have to put on a whole new exhaust system

  • how did u learn how to rebuild a dirt bike i thought it was so hard how did u learn?

  • I just did it. There is no other way to explain it.

  • i love taking apart engines. they've mostly just been lawn mower engines, in fact ive never taken apart a two stroke engine but i know how to..............as a matter of fact ive never taken apart a dirt bike engine, but i may have to once i start working on my four stroke tlr200 project bike.

  • please tell me where you got that pipe from i want that for my 1985 ds80

  • Read the comments.

  • Very easy, just bolt it on.

  • i have a 2001 jr80...very fast for its size but i just need a new piston kit :(

  • thats a good video

  • Mad that was the first bike i learned to ride on...

got it for my 5th birth day...

15 years later its good to see some one take the time to give her an overhaul....looks sweet.

  • what did you do to it to ruin the top end?

  • After honing the cylinder, I cleaned all of the honing grit out of the cylinder but I didn't clean it out of the ports. As soon as I started the engine, it sucked it all into the cylinder and sanded away at the piston.

  • oh my gosh! im afraid that im going to do something like that

  • wow!!

  • Comment removed

  • how much was the pipe? and whered you get it from?

  • sweet bike : ) and wats The name of the song? Message me back

  • Thanks. The songs are all free from Creative Commons by a guy named Brad Sucks. The songs are Total Breakdown, Dropping Out of School, and Gasoline. I'm not sure if they are in order though.

  • hi nice bike how much did it cost

  • Paid $150 for it. Then about $200 to freshen it up. I think it was worth it.

  • I need the stock muffler off your bike. Do you want to sell it?

  • Hi nice bike. Can you tell me is the piston same than in RM 80 -81? Could you also tell me the link where did you get the parts.

  • yeah, true, i just took apart my gas scooter engine (to practice rebuilding for my honda cr80) and theyre a bitch to put in.

  • where did u put new wrispin clips in? I dont see where you did it

  • It's not in the video. They were a pain in the ass to put in. They took about 10 minutes each. Figured the video was better with that left out.

  • really? nice little bike btw.

  • when u rebuild it again u should make sure that your pistion is at top dead center

  • It makes no difference, it just makes it easier sometimes.

  • where did u get the fmf pipe for ur ds80

  • Buy the JR80 pipe. It fits perfectly.

  • you didnt see if there was scrapings stuck to oil in the bore. after a while it would wear out your piston and lose compression

  • Yes I am well aware. I explained that in my other video.

  • It´s silicone sealant. I use it to make sure the exhaust goes out the exhaust.
