  • @MyMindTank yeah... or just read Marx's work. he provides a much more thorough critique on capitalism and competition. Moving Forward was utterly wrong on John Locke and Adam Smith. TZM doesn't bring anything new, it just repeats what has been said for a long time in a very off-putting manner.

  • @TLNoir TZM never said it brings anything new, just putting together what is already known. Anybody that has followed it knows this because it's said often. We point to people like Buckminster Fuller who has pointed that out as well in his writings. Again, never claiming anything new just looking at it differently. As for Marx's he had great vision but he did not have the scientific data or the concern for the environment that supports and shapes our behavior. We have that today.

  • right knowledge! wake up!

  • Fantastic!

  • bf skinner on education (search it)

  • hi, I am looking for a way how to record such kind of visualization to convert some mp3 into video files... what SW did you use? Thanks! :) Greeting from Vienna :)

  • Hi, where did you find this audio? Is there a video for it? Thanks

  • Wabbit season!

  • @mdlittle if you had a sheep... in the wilderness.. and a lion came to eat them..you do not want someone raised with a lack of competition (which forms courage) defending them. Let me tell you mdlittle the beloved nation of Israel does not need someone who will be gentle right now. See there is a time and place for everything. A time when we can be nice which we prefer, and a time to say NO, very loudly.

  • @GoodWhispers Interesting point, however, I don't see the direct link between competition and courage. I've seen many people with astounding courage who aren't competitive at all, who don't partake in any competitions. I see the possibility of someone becoming courageous through competition, but their is no evidence to support that competition breeds courageous people. Being courageous means over coming fear. That can happen in a number of events, not just competition.

  • @tokingmonkey

So true Toking * I love your name* but when competition is seen as a negative exclusively ...then one has problems. Competition is healthy and it "can" take courage to stretch beyond ones limits.

It takes at least seven ingredient to bake a cake. We try to answer life's question with one ingredient.

Our answers then become either, or.... and very narrow to the point of forgetting what it is we are baking. The Olympics and it's competition is something to think about.

  • @GoodWhispers It's not the point in being seen "negative exclusively", its what all the evidence points to. That's not to discount that there could be evidence or new evidence that points to it being positive, but when it comes out or is found and is objectively viewed and proven, that's when we change our minds and not before. The logic you used can be used with cigarettes. It's not that cigarettes are negative exclusively, it's simply just where all the evidence points too.

  • @moety2

Many people including myself would disagree with your view of evidence.

  • @GoodWhispers many people disagree with the overwhelming evidence of evolution just as they did with the world being round and countless other things. Is it a form of denial-ism because the findings crushes the view of the world? So simply saying you disagree with what evidence is says nothing unless you have something tangible (evidence) that warrants it. But then I could simply say I disagree with your view of evidence and then we get no where.

  • @moety2

hahahahahaha gawd... you are so funny...hahahaha

  • A Myth is something that is usually not real... competition is real. Everytime I hear someone complain about it I end up thinking Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...cry babies.

  • @GoodWhispers ...and this came from someone who goes by the name @GoodWhispers - I am astounded, please...tell me, what is your definition of 'good'. Wait, I'm of a mind whereas I...actually...don't want to know...

  • Did Alfie ever work as a voice actor for Daffy Duck?

  • How do you reverse the psychological effects of a competative conditioning?

  • @IllichSketchShow Watch the documentary "Zeitgeist: Moving Forward". It provides all the answers to reverse the nature of competition. This documentary also proposes a solution to most if not all of our worldly problems. Seriously my friend, watch it and spread the word... because it is REVOLUTIONARY!!!

  • @MyMindTank Evolutionary ;)

  • I love this lecture, can you tell me if it is possible to get hold of the audio for this plz??

  • @BlackNeon9

You can download any mp3 off a youtube video by visiting keepvid dot com and entering the youtube url of the video

now honestly, isn't cooperation so much more helpful? :)

keep up the love dude, the world is changing and we are part of it!

    much love from Germany

  • @TZMchapterKiel thanks dude!!!!

  • @BlackNeon9 rip the audio from the video?

  • That's what it's all about, Alfie!!!!..There are so many ways to make business more meaningful!...Your ideas are awesome..not just in the classroom but in the boardroom!!

  • sorry i heavily disagree...there is healthy competition...alfie's ideas are actually the perfect example. his (great) ideas about parenting/teaching are competing against the ideas of the status quo. absolute healthy in my book. it may be a matter of word definition thought. police/politics/state could use some competition too btw. i get his point, cooperation is always better, but sometimes not attainable (yet). competition is of course no virtue for its own sake. cheers!

  • @dasdeck His ideas are in conflict with the ideas of the status quo, but I don't see any competition between ideas. Ideas have no ambition to win.

As Alfie Kohn said in this presentation: "I don't think there's a problem with conflict. The question is not "will there be conflict or should there be?" (the answer to both questions being "yes" as far as I'm concerned), but rather "will that conflict take place in a context that is cooperative or competitive?""

  • @ZeitgeistMinneota _

Where there is scarcity , there is competition

  • Amazing audio

  • This stuff is awesome! Can't wait till I have his book in my hands :)
