from what i gathered in the lyrics, it is about how the someone is too busy with work. they put work first before their loved one. it seems like in the video, they are not dating each other, but just in similar situations.

for example, she ran to the dinner but only had the flowers waiting for her. maybe the guy left?

at the end, my guess is that vivian is helping someone else whos getting married. and i guess she's a little sad bc she's no longer in a relationship. and they meet.
