It isn't from a Pennsylvania mill-town resurrecting itself by strength of character; but rather the polar opposite... San Fransisco, the next New Orleans, a FEMA case waiting to happen
Nothing against helping great American cities in need... but this is like a Las Vegas strip club using the Amish in their ad.
@elBorrachoGuapo: I'm glad you have nothing against helping American cities in need. The whole point of this campaign was to use advertising dollars to bring about real change.
normally try to ignore ads but this has got to be some kind of record in the annals of capitalist recuperation. I mean fuck, Whitman, Bukowski, fake riot porn, the alienation of the worker AND a grassroots appeal from a struggling blue-collar town in my home state? I feel like I should be worried, upset, physically ill even but instead, I just feel a quiet serenity, as if the sky were on fire and, realizing my mortality, it's all I can do is admire the endless parade of colours. Goddamn.
@Lucretia2222: The point of this campaign was not to steal the image of Braddock. The point was to create a mutually beneficial relationship between a town that needed actual funds to renovate and the supplies and manpower to do so and a company who wanted to put their money where their mouth was with a new line of work clothes. While it may not have been a perfect match, I would much rather see companies trying new partnerships that bring about some noticeable change.
@catchermag Holy Cow! You must be kidding? Do you work for H&K or Levi's? There are so many points you look over and ignore in your comment, let me start by saying google Levi's and Labor disputes and I think you'll find a plenty to give you pause.
@austgyu i was about to say it looks like fall out, like just about to comment it and then saw that hahaha.... its like every picture and the song says fall out
just found out the singers name. its gail reese. but you cant find any of her stuff anywhere it sucks. theres literally one song on i tunes but thats it
Levi's is from where?
