  • Rice was one of the most amazing jump shooters to ever play the game

  • holy shit almost forgot about G Rice... man was a great scorer

  • I always enjoyed watching Glen Rice play. I felt like in his prime, he was pretty much unstoppable. Too bad his career/prime was cut short due to injuries.

  • 1:00, 2:18,4:45 clearly travel in european rules...but...mj is the best and maybe no one could be better than him. sorry to future players.

  • THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING! MJ just destroyed them on that last shot like it was nothing lol.

  • I promise you this...if Glen Rice had better conditioning, he would have been a first ballot HOF'er. Just look at him here....on par with Jordan.

  • classic hornets

  • Best ever!!!

  • GLEN RICE wins because he scored on SARA PALIN.

  • 6:00 - 6:03 :D

  • This is why MJ will be always the best...

  • LOL Rodman's like "Go Home" to the Hornets bench at 6:11

  • MJ hittem with the swagga dagga

  • Comment removed

  • randy brown always touching and grabbing jordan

  • Kobe What? Lebron Who? When it comes to a person who would rather die than lose in a B-ball challenge, those CHILDREN ain't got NOTHIN on MJ in his prime!!!!!

  • me hubiera gustado estar allí

  • Rice had burner! i remeber on one of the vidoe games I wanna say NBA inside drive 99 or 00' he had a 99 rating in three point shooting

  • @Krob2k11 NBA LIVE 99!

  • OMG!

  • im sooooo excited when he hits the game winning shot i actually screamed=.=

  • Jordan = G.O.A.T. Don't deny that shit...

  • Jordan last shoot is the greatest in the world

  • goosebumps watching that last shot

  • damn that last shot was fuckin amazing...no words cant explain that clutch man...

  • the best ever

  • what a fuckin game

  • greatest team assembled in the regular season

  • mj greatest ever. young man has yackers!

  • mj.....greatest.....that was actually a two, not a three lol, but what does it matter??....i promise it was a two..........toe was on the line....there are better videos of that shot....look at them....toe was on the line.......hahaha

  • Glen Rice scored his first 10 inside the arc.. in todays league he would have attempted at least six by then

  • MJ better player then rice but RICE better shooter then MJ !

  • thats way u cant compare LBJ with MJ...MJ the best ever

  • LeBRon could nvr do what MJ has done

  • And Jordan for the win - He does it! every commentator around the league got a chance to say that

  • this was when the nba moved in the three point line a foot.

  • Glen Rice was a beast...im glad that he has a ring cause he deserve it

  • 1:16 - 1:17 Mmmmmmmmmmmm ... yes.

  • Best battle ever

    Rice vs Jordan

Chicago bulls vs Original Charlotte Hornets

  • Glen Rice was dope on the Hornets! He had one of the sweetest shots of all time!

  • Glen rice was s monster back then.

  • What a finish! Onya MJ

  • tht was the ill abridged game.

  • Thanks for posting.. Great video.

  • Those were the days! I used to love basketball. Watched the games, collected basketball cards and used to play a lot with a some friends from school. Charlotte Hornets was my favourite team, and Glen Rice was my favourite player. Then they suddenly stopped showing the games on Norwegian television. Sad...

  • Jordan is the G.O.A.T no doubt in my mind but he travels at 2:18

  • @falconcourt500 He did, three steps.

  • @falconcourt500 He did travel lol.

  • glenn rice > kobe

  • @dv122 Smokin them funny cigarrettes?

  • Now that is some impressive shooting. Screw the supposed shooters we got now. Rice faced a very competent defense against the bulls and could not be stopped. Meanwhile kids in the league now are finding it hard to get in any rhythm unless their shots are falling.

  • @newagepun the shooters back then were PURE shooters. Once they got in a rhythm they would get rolling. Also shooters like Glen Rice can make it from anywhere on the court. Its a few shooters nowdays that are up there but they just dont have the same presence IMO.

  • @atl2maryland Have you seen Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash play? Well there you go

  • @meowdragon Yep and those guys were actually present on this era, they learned from these guys!

  • That was a good buzzer beater move by MJ. The defender would have never guessed he would take a 3 pointer in a tie situation. Look at the way he was defending, he was expecting a drive, then stop and pop.

  • The good ol' days... I miss watching 23 play.

  • @rxtony05

I miss da whole old Bulls team games, finals, yea 4sure good ol'dayz

  • 6:00 getting a little bit too exited there.

  • Man i feel sorry for both those nets

  • great GAME GREAT GAME!!!!!

  • I MISS YOU VLADE DIVAC!!!

  • he's the BASKETBALL!!!

  • j0rdan! #1

  • no pressure at all ...amazing i gotta watch it again...every ball player should watch that it should be shown in all high schools

  • no pressure at all ...amazing

  • ..............."ONIONS!!!!!!"......

  • WTF? how many times....

    again and again ...hahaha

  • This was one of those games where there was 'no losers'. Great game. One of those - "may the best man win' games. Back when the NBA was at it's 'peak'. Glory days for the NBA.

  • Rice kicked butt! Jordan or Pippen couldn't stop him! I miss those guys that aren not only athletically gifted, but fundamentally sound. Don't see that as much these days...

  • @mmcneil777

I agree BUT. . .look up Glenn Rice if you didnt have a chance to watch him play. . .not athletic like MJ or Pip but definitely, definitely Athletic!

  • that was not easy in poland in that time(90s) but i had BULLS hat and CHarlotte T-shirt:)

  • i remember watching this game back in high school...are those weights that are attached to glenn rice's ankles/shoes???

  • @clarkyjustin

    Braces not weights

  • kobe could've been in this game... Charlotte made a mistake..

  • another day in the office by his airness, , HIS teamates dont even bother to exagerate bout the game winning shot , their very use to it , ,

  • @WhenDisastersAttacks

    LOL. . .true story

  • Comment removed

  • this was a very good game by both teams....Go Bulls!!!

  • Wow don't ever put lebron and Jordan in the same category again! Lebron ain't shit!

  • i love rodmans reaction after MJ does smthn crazy :D

  • Comment removed

  • @actoman1 you are crazy if you think kobe is better than his airness.

  • @actoman1 ..thank you. i needed a good laugh today.

  • @actoman1 no way... MJ GREATEST EVER!!!!! Kobe Is Great, But MJ Was a Pure Winner

  • @actoman1 hahahaha

  • nice

  • Goddamn, I knew Jordan would hit that last 3 pointer! However, Rice played just as well.

  • this is amazing

  • LOL at 3:55, did that old announcer just call him "G Money"? LOL.

  • @JZ2001JC Whom he called G-Money? Lol..

  • Damn Glen Rice was nuts with that three back in the day.

  • Great MAtch!!

  • classic finish....

  • this brings me back. I used to watch the games with my dad

  • 1:42 that was an amazing pass by Muggsy.

3:18 was crazy too. amazing pass and catch over Jordan... actually scored with just 2 seconds and inbounding from the other side of the court. wow... Jordan should be pissed. haha but he blames it on Longley

4:38 Jordan wanted to hammer that one... too bad.

5:55 what's jordan doing?! I knew it was going to go back to Muggsy for killer 3. WOW holy crap... didn't expect that at the end by MJ!!!!

Wow, what an amazing game It just ended just like that!

  • Jordan,He's just simply "The Greatest"

  • Who ever thought MJ would own this team LITERALLY.

  • I miss the time of VHS

  • how many times has he done that! man there will never be another player as great as Michael

  • kobe

  • i feel a bit sorry for charlotte right now ^^ ... glen rice did a very very good job, but jordan just makes the difference ... once again

  • that was some sick hangtime at 4:56

  • jordan was like no time out i'm just going to shoot it and make it in like i always do no sweat lol

  • what a game!

    what a game!

    MJ is the greatest!

  • Ok, that last shot by MJ was FIRE! And that's why...and that's why he is ice water in the veins great.

  • glen rice was a pure shooter. it was too bad the hornets had horrible clock management. if you have 18.9sec left, you gotta play it for the last shot.

  • so if you're down 3 and you get a wide open look at a 3, you should hold it for a few more seconds.... right? :(

  • well when i watch teams like the lakers play, the PG will hold the ball at the very top of the perimeter before setting up the play. the open 3 shouldn't have developed that fast. better clock management, that 3 would have been there as the last shot of the game.

  • maybe... but a reasonable strategy (and maybe tihs is waht they were going ofr exactly) is a quicker 2 down low and commit the intentional next play and if the double comes like it did then kick it out for the 3.

  • Gotta disagree. They were down 3. You play for the last shot and miss, that's the end. But if you shoot it early you get a chance to foul them or get a turnover, etc.

  • but then you give the greates closer of all-time a chance to win it.....and he did.

  • this is jordan, the best of the best. glen rice must train harder.

  • classic! MJ is the best player in NBA history!

  • lol @ pippens hack at 5:18 blatant foul

  • that is michael jordan game

  • Rice was like 27ppg that year

    thats SERIOUS stuff right there

  • Glen Rice was awesome - Terrible for the Lakers in the playoffs though, and near the end I think he kind of just dropped off the face of the planet.

    Tha man though.

  • WHAT A GREAT GAME! peace thx

  • Great shot as always...But why did he come over to help when Charlotte needed a three ? :)

  • yeah, that was a mistake on jordan's part... probably just to set up his gamewinner... again! just ridiculous

  • because he's a human not a machine and humans make mistakes (unless their name is jesus christ)

  • jesus walked on water and jordan walked on air

  • glen rice would J jesus

  • this is MJ at his finest.

    this video is a classic

man do i miss those days

  • Im from Cleveland and I love Lebron, Wade and Kobe are great as well but there will never be another MJ. You could ALWAYS count on him to come out on top. He was the Sugar Ray Robinson of Basketball. The Greatest ever. Glad I lived in the Jordan era.

  • I used to love Rices game. Jamal Mashburn 2 when he was healthy

  • Dell Curry and Glen Rice on the same team?? They should have killed...

  • Dude, you read my mind. I was thinking the same thing....two pure shooters on the same team....crazy!

  • 4:37

Jordan would've stuffed that in if only he was a bit younger.

  • kobe who?

  • Rice was a threat from outside his career... quiet.. slick player..deadly shooter

  • Glen rice is the best 3 point striker ever

  • Reggie Miller!

  • i remember those days the hornets were in between in the LJ / Zo era and the Baron D. / mashburn era. They were surprisingly good though; rice, mugsy, vlade, mason, they had talent, but the bulls owned the east. they would go on to lose in the them in playoffs. next year rice was gone, with the move to new orleans not far behind.

sometimes i wonder what the hornets would be like if they had kept the draft rights to kobe, could they have force him to play? ah well...

    hornets 4 life

  • how many did rice end with?

  • Great video, great game

  • i always had glen rice on the earlier ballin video games and chris webber and mitch richmond who else lol they had some sharpshooters shawn kemp

  • damn it i used to love the charlotte hornets

  • i saw a Mason in the game. was that Desmond Mason? or Roger Mason Sr.

  • i guess you are kidding right? at 1998 Desmond Mason and Roger Mason was even in NBA yet. It was Anthony Mason who played for knicks and hornet.

  • I remember being at this game when it happened...It was an amazing experience seeing one of MJ's many game winning shots in person...one memory i will never forget

  • GREAT

  • I am the biggest MJ fan, but I gotta admit:

    Jordan had Curry on him

Rice had to score against Jordan

Beautiful shot at the end. At that time, you just always knew that the Bulls would win if they had the last possesion.

  • Great video man!!!...I love Glen Rice since Michigan & Jordan simply...WOW!!!!

  • nice SHOT

  • Those were the glory days of the NBA. MICHAEL JORDAN is definitely the BEST player who ever played the GAME of BASKETBALL. HIS ROYAL AIRNESS RULES!!!

  • jordan used to get into these scoring duels with these up and coming players like glen rice and kick their asses. jordan from 87 to 93 would get into scoring duels with a guy like rice and then proceed to shut the fucker down once he had enough. that kind of thing didn't happen as much once jordan got older.... so what he would do is kill you with his efficency meaning...he 'd just out score you on points per shot

  • wow i feel like shit that i was too young to even know about the nba. these games are 100 times better than the bullshit you see today where everyone wants a monster dunk or a block instead of a smooth midrange shot like mike (there are still some players)

  • beautiful game fam! nice video. i just want to point out how smooth and easy mike makes the game look. its incredible!

  • damn that was great :)

  • I am a big fan of Glen Rice.

    He was one great shooter.

I watch him for 4 years at Michigan.

His freshman year off the bench he shot 70% from the field.

His sophomore year, he led the Big Ten in rebounding.

His junior year he gets national recognition for his shooting skills.

His senior year he wins the NCAA Championship.

When he took a shot in college the rest of his team would run back to play defense before the shot went in.

  • this was one of my fav shootouts!

  • that was cool. thanks

  • what a game !!

  • amazing shoot out video, thx for the upload

  • terrific play at 1:40

  • Do you watch the games....LeBron is constantly being smoked.

He is not known for being a stopper.

Jordan was. Jordan was fundamentally sound and a superb athlete. Jordan rules.

In addition, Jordan played the game at time when hand-checking was legal. If Jordan played under the present rules he would have averaged 50 pt per game.

  • so so true.....all these guys aayin lebron is better obviously havent been watchin the nba very long

  • My point exactly.

They changed the rules so they can play like girls.

  • Yeah, too many stupid fol calls now days... which is why players like LeBron can just bang his way inside and jack one up there. If he doesn't make it, he'll at least get the foul, no?

  • He gets the foul.

For example, the year Miami when the championship we Dwayne Wade makes the majority of his points at the charity stripe.

The fourth quarter becomes watch Wade at the line.

  • Lebron has nothing on Mike

  • well he does average slightly better numbers...i think the only difference is championships (maybe game winning shots during big games)

  • LeBron is ten steps below Jordan.

Jordan was not only unstoppable on offensive.

He is one of the greatest defensive players that played the game.

LeBron gets smokes almost every game. That is why Cleveland play so much zone. He cannot play defense.

  • Alright i know where you're comin from i truly do. I agree that MJ is the best player ever. He could do anything he wanted to/when he wanted to. Yes, his defense is better than Lebron, maybe MJ developed that while playing at UNC, while Lebron just made the jump straight to the NBA. I don't think that Cleveland plays zone just because of Lebron, he can hold his own out there.

  • MJ didn't develop his D until after he joined the NBA. It was his around his 3rd full season in the league when he pretty much said, "I know I'm great at scoring, but I'll get people to recognize me defensively, too. I'm a multi-faceted player." and after the '88 season, Jordan was included in the All-Defensive 1st team for the rest of his Bulls career.

    Lebron is now realizing that.

  • Wade did too

  • Yeah, LeBron's nothing compared to MJ.

  • lol...he hits the game winning shot and then just claps it off

  • classic.
