  • my gym bought one of these bout two weeks ago, my max with a regular bar was 300 but with this one it went down about 50lbs lol!! it really puts you in you place, way to go Elliott!!

  • @deucerman1 You gain each ab for every 1,000 crunches you do. So just do about 1,000 right side crunches and you will even them out in no time :D

  • @deucerman1 I was just joking, man! It's just unfortunately funny how must of us are born with unsymmetrical abs, they were clearly designed to be straight and vertical. They are just genetics, dude, can't do anything about it, just keep strengthening both sides simultaneously.

  • i think you're strong enough to handle 315 i think you're going through a mental and form dillemma but be careful thats alot to clean

  • Elliot looks like he's about 30 years old. He's gonna be a goddamn cripple by 35 if keeps doing that shit he did at 315lbs. Bad form, holding the bar on his belt, etc.... you can at least do dumbell curls and shoulder raises in a wheelchair; thats about it.

  • @casbah1982 If I'm not wrong, the last lift that he did was a variant to the regular clean and jerk that only strongman lifters do. During that lift, you have to do it that way. I've seen it in strongman competitions before.

  • i'll never forget one of my first Olympic lifting lessons. they had a platform at my gym, and i finally worked up the nerve to ask one of the few dudes who used it to teach me, this huge monster of a dude who happened to be cool as hell. he did a heavy snatch, and when he dropped the bar, (this was like the third lift he did) the bar BROKE and one end shot up and hit him in the mouth. calmly, holding his mouth with blood dripping down, he mumbled "i don't think i can show you more today"

  • maby You should use your legs more, and go further down and push the weight up with your legs first? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i definitely think you can handle the 315lbs and even more just with the right technique ? Respect.

  • i can see why ur technique suffers, it's not because our technique is bad, it is because of those damn bars. After a player injured his wrists from those shitty bench bars, we pooled money and got these special bars. Those bars rotate extremely quick. They prevent injury. Try to get ur hands on them.

  • hey boss great try on the 315. try getting full hip extension, u r cutting it short and its making u puul too much w/ ur back, which is gonna end up hurting u bad. also, make up for back hyper extension by dropping the hips some more. with full ext and then quick transition to the squat catch, u will be able to do a much more efficient lift. u got the power for the 315, u just nedd a bit of technique... remember, full hip extension, violently!!!! then an even faster hip drop w/ heel stomp.

  • Nice, I just started clean and press. In olympic style don't you bend at the waist less? If I wanted to get more leg work in, should I do more of an olympic style? I just noticed you seem bent more at the waist, which seems more strongman style. My goal is power, explosion, pure and simple. Thanks in advance if you respond!

  • What's the difference between an axle clean (and deadlift) and a regular one?

  • @JustElijah The axel is much thicker than a regular olympic barbell, two things happen thereby: One, you have a much shittier grip, which will not allow you to "swing" the weight up; and two, the axel, not being as flexible as a barbell, will not bend and create the whip effect that a normal barbell would as you put strain on it.

  • @vicenteumanzor Elliot did a vid on that. The rule of thumb from what I remember is to not rely on it (use your inner core belt) and only use it when you're lifting v.heavy weights/pushing you maxes, just like Elliot did in this vid.

  • @SuitablePlanet Harder because you cant grip it as easy, and it puts a lot of stress on your forearms which benefits your grip strength a ton. I can imagine elliot can probably break someones hand just by squeezing it lol. Just my guess, probably another reason though.
