The finished product will *not* require an additional key... it will all be done thru data...

Thanks for your reply, will the interface module require one to lose a key? In the past I found that installing a remote starter meant always having to lose a key...by hiding/wiring a spare key under the dash inorder to bypass the security system.

Hi, I live in Canada and remote starters are as common as aircondioning in florida cars but have been told over and over again by everyone here that sells and installs remote starters, that it is not possible to install one in an e320... did you build this starter yourself or was it purchase? I would really appreciate if you can get back to me on this subject as I am very interested in installing one in my 2001 e320.

@skullnic It is possible to do but it is a complex installation... My company (midcity engineering) specializes in designing and building remote starter products specifically for mercedes benz vehicles. We have an interface module in development for the W210 platform and it will be available for purchase in the coming months.
