  • I was honored to be imposter #1 on this program, which was taped on November 4th, 1980. What a lot of fun!

  • Animegirl's comment hit on the head....McKee had to forfeit most of the trips because he didn't have the time to use them all.

For the record, I wonder if he ever watched MURPHY BROWN or BOSTON LEGAL...after all, the answer that brought him to defeat was "Candice Bergen".

    Paul

  • This was interesting, thanks. Amazed anyone went with number two. Get the very strong impression I underestimated Nipsey.

  • R.I.P. Soupy Sales (1926-2009) The ham that made West Virginia famous!!!

  • Sorry I've gotta disqualify myself here folks, sorry!

  • An excellent epsiode of TTTT from 1980-1981. The Robin Ward version of TTTT is 10 times better than the John O'Hurley version.

  • thom mckee is cute!

  • 2 eliminates 1 3 eliminates 2 3 is the winner.

  • Between Thom McKee, and Pieter DeVries, who was really the Better Contestant on Tic Tac Dough?

  • Are you kidding me?! Anyone who actually saw the game show Tic Tac Dough knew Damn Well who was Thom McKee. It is Number 3 who is him!

  • the sixteen trips were to 1,tahiti 2 spain

    3 puerto vallarta,4 rome,5 hong kong

    6 lake tahoe, 7 acapulco,8 fiji,9 the bahamas,10 las vegas,11 the grand canyon,12 paris,13 las vegas,14 new york city,15 hawaii and 16 tahiti

  • Winston "Wink" Martindale should have been one of the panels. But what I say to that is neither here nor there. He would've disqualified himself.

  • My Name Is Thom McKee

  • It just wasn't "To Tell the Truth" without Kitty Carlisle.

  • the panelists on this episode also appeared on the 1970's version. Also Regis Philbin, Brett Sommars, Jack Klugman, Orson Bean, Jack Berry & Bill Cullin.

  • BTW, more than half of Thom's 88 games were ties.

  • 43 wins, 44 ties, 1 loss. EXACTLY half of his games were ties.

  • Good research.

  • This was a very ususual game we have here. Theese panelists do game shows practically for a living and they don't know who Thom is; then again Thom wouldn't be here otherwise. The imposters seemed to have trouble coming up with intelligent answers and Nipsey seemed to be the only one with a good knowledge of the show to his credit. They did play a good game and Thom was a good sport about it. I would give it 4 stars since it was an almost perfect game.

  • Nipsey also hosted a short-lived game show called "Your Number's Up" on NBC in the fall of 1985.

  • Even I knew which one it was all along. So I'd disqualify myself.

  • I disqualified myself before i even watched the video. BTW I checked on GAmbit video and it IS the sydicated version, so your right! There is more than people know.

  • Why would they necessarily know who Thom was -- OR, for that matter TTD since it's NOT a celebrity based game? I should think they would have their hands full keeping up with the games that DID feature celebrities.

  • Wait a minute... Thom appeared in 46 TTD episodes, yet Robin said it was his 48th game show apperance.

Where did he make his 47th?

  • Thom was on The Krypton Factor.

  • actually lately they have been showing ken jennings and thom mckee from jeopardy and tic tac dough respectively

  • he also won a jetski

  • If I had a year to take 16 trips, I don't think I'd be home much. All those trips that he won, I would go to all of those places.

  • They started showing his episodes again last week on GSN. I heard about him but I never got to see any of the episodes. Up until they started to again.

  • dones anyone know that thats david lettermans annoncer doing the intros

  • Its to bad he was'nt abel to take all trips

    espically tahiti

  • hmm, so technically Thom's total winnings on game shows were $312,800.

  • I knew who it was before they even started asking the questions. Thom is one of those people you just don't forget!

  • I think I did too.

  • Adam, you are the man! I love watching these TTTT '80 episodes, esp. with Big Red himself Alan Kalter announcing. Kalter's game show announcing credits include: The Moneymaze hosted by George Clooney's dad Nick; the $20k $50k Pyramid, the $128k Question from the same studio he announces Late Show with David Letterman, NYC's Ed Sullivan Theater. Thanks again!

  • i thought it was 46 wins over 88 days

  • Thom McKee is a great player!!!!!

  • Look like Robin Ward said McGee instead of McKee.

  • Thom McKee got a panel show!

  • Amusing how the two impostors wear (fake?) military uniforms, while Thom obviously sees no need to...could the three of them plan things like that out in advance in order to throw the panel off?

  • Awfully generous of Barry-Enright to loan Thom to do a Goodson-Todman show.

  • Generosity had nothing to do with it. Their own competition is basically handing them eight minutes of free advertising. Would YOU turn that down? :-)

  • I wonder how much Mark had to pay Jack and Dan to use the TTD footage at the end of the segment.

  • Having never seen this version of TTTT, I never knew the contestant podiums swung onto the set?

  • This version ran durning the 1980-1981 season.

  • ..long before there was Ken Jennings, there was Thom McKee..but, what celebrities don't watch TV? ....This one is even more odd than the Larry King one..

  • Some members of the Panel should have DQed Themselves.

  • Oh there's no question I would've had to disqualify myself, too. BTW, of all the versions of TTTT that have ever aired, I'd have to say that this one's my favorite. Having grown up in the 70's and 80's, I loved that discofied theme, not to mention the red and white set looked cool, too. Too bad this version of TTTT didn't last very long :-(
