Yeah you can. You can play ODST's story mode and firefight mode with up to 4 players online then you have Halo 3's regular multiplayer on the second disc which you can play online as well.

From the looks of it, I'm willing to bet that this game will be more story based than any Halo game in the series. Which is good, because if there is one thing the other Halo's fall short of, it's conveying the story in a fantastic manner.

Yeah, what I hope for the most is back stories with the ODST's, they seem like interesting characters that could have interesting back stories, same goes for Gears warriors, they have fantastic back stories if you read for books but the games don't make the characters seem real and interesting. This story looks more intriguing, at least they have a first and last name.
