I wonder if You know Tadeusz Pelczar transcriptions ? of these suites but to all asking why is played an octave lower than cello. In definition double bass is doubling the octaves so in natural basic position is an octave lower than cello :) I also play that Sarabande in my movies but in E A D G tuning not F# B E A. Oh and very goog deep sound!
good :) deep sound and fantastic tempo. It's not easy to keep music still moving in this slow motion.

You changed the key of this piece. did you do it to facilitate playability or because you wanted the lower sonority?

I'm assuming you're playing this an octave below the cello? Marvelously executed! Pulling off those double stops on a bass is no small task.
