I fully understand the ambivalence regarding being in a toxic home environment versus being totally alone/far away. Speaking from experience, the fear dissipates! Also, in this age we are able to communicate instantly with others. You could do webcam chats with your family if you get lonely and you can always decide to move back home. i was forced by my family. They guaranteed me id get the student visa.
I didnt get it (and im kinda glad i didnt) and now im stranded here till november, which is when my tourist visa expires.
My parents are being dick heads though and saying 'yr problem' so my friends are the only ones being supportive atm.
Its so shit living in this house right now, erghh
