this is exactly what i use for smallmouth and largemouth.....they make O-rings for wacky worm rigging you know, so you dont tear up the body of the worm
i give it just enough slack to let it drop freely, yet not too much where i wouldnt feel the fish pick it up. and i only pick up the slack when there is too much. and i do it slowly. the bass will normally take the worm while is on the drop. when he swallows the worm chances are you will feel a "donk" . i will usually try to set the hook as most times it is right when the fish takes it. other times you wont feel the donk, and you will see the line moving.
go to occoquan river right now. shad should be running there thick...use a spinning rod with 6-8lb line and tie two 2 inch swirly tail grubs...you will catch alot...fish the rocks in the back of the oqqoquan by the walking bridge...striper will follow the shad later in april..use rattletraps or white swimbaits
In tournaments I and my partner know the best hot spots on certain lakes. Usually some very nice bass there. We cast it and present it with hardly any splash. IMPORTANT. For the best results we throw Zoom finesse worms wacky and let it go to the bottom. Believe me, even on the calmest of days there is current at the bottom. We let the worm do all the work. We let it sit for a minute or two, really. If nothing happens , we pull straight up and let it do it's thing. You must try it and be patient.
lol,more like 1 1/2 -2lb's!

hey nice little catfish. ive never caught a catfish fishing that way.

Nice bass, but you shouldn't reel fish in so close to your rod tip before you flip them in, you'll break your rod.

i use a 5 inch wacky worm with a weedless fishing hook and it floats to the bottom of the surface slowly and the fish love that!

usually no weight, i use a 5 inch worm. but you need somewhat of a med to light action rod with 8-12lb line for sensitivity

I have two questions.......is there suppose to be any type of wait on the bait and does it matter what size the bait is?
triplem1964 1 year ago
Nice. Is that the huge flat that's on the left as you're driving to the park? About a quarter mile before you turn right to go into the park?
jobu88 1 year ago
yes, all the way in the back, it's been getting alot of pressure this season, but it's still good

I'm surprised you don't use a wacky rigging tool........sure beats having to replace your bait after every fish.....can buy for about $10....
