  • I am high

  • it's useless =.= youtube only support 30 fps =_=

  • im twisted watching this. i enjoyed your video.

  • @motocross223tanner put the setting to r3 because that setting shoots the most frames per second. The slow motion effect is added using a computer video editing program the can slow the video down.

  • How do you get it in slowmo. I put my settings on r1 and it did nothing

  • @motocross223Tanner you have to edit it.

  • really nice vid

  • Why does my 50/60 fps footage look like its fast forwarded? Can some one please help me? thanks :)

  • @SimonsRandomChannel probably because you havent slo-mo'd it

  • striping with go pro haha

  • My GoPro is 30FPS how is ur 60??

  • @AtrixGFX You have to change the settings. Every GoPro has like 5 shooting options. The best one is 720p with 60 fps. On 1080p its only 30fps.

  • I go the hd hero today it's awesome

  • blow job face

  • the guy with the surfboard iritates me cuz he makes a stupid face

  • Wow, in surf clip its so weird to see the sun setting over land, im in San Diego, sun sets over water here....too crazy!

  • what editing software was used?

  • So this is video game consoles' future.

  • shouldnt have slo-moed the second 1..

  • thats cool

  • When you use R3=720p@60fps it does slowmotion by itself ?

  • @Scortech no you have to slow it down yourself to roughly half speed (so it plays at 30fps).

  • @george092, have you tried iMovie 11?

Double click the the clip and adjust the playback speed with the slider or type in %.

Is that a pain i the ass, you are as well.

  • Good but to make it better make it longer

  • Buy a mac and all of your stupid problems will go away.

iMovie is included with the OS.

  • @jodde73 imovie is a pain in the ass

  • thats at sea otter right?

  • i dont know how to make my go pro hd not go on actual video its just frame by frame ...reeeallyyy slow ........HEELLLPPPP ME PLEASSEEE!!!

  • @NBVvideos the instructions it came with should help, if you dont have them then press the on button until there is a camcorder symbol on the lcd screen. read the manual

  • what program do i have to use to edit my video in slow motion?

  • @robbyd831 Try Sony Vegas, works great for me.

  • Screw Final Cut Pro I dont have $1000 extra laying around

  • @mydogskip7 search final cut pro crack on google or youtube. Im sure you can get it free that way. And dont worry about getting caaught. So many people do it and almost none do get caught.

  • I have his boardshorts.

  • Hahahaha...first clip is autistic kid discovering what surfing is for the first time.

  • @ S00rabh gopro

  • I am confused.

I have option of either better quality GoPro HD

or Better design and features of Contour HD GPS..

    Any one help..

  • @S00rabh Your at a fuckin go pro video. That means you obviously want to be persuaded to get the go pro (From the other Go Pro Users) here's your advice... Get the Fucking Go Pro you tool!!!!

  • @MrMiniSwag

    Funny way to express.

  • @S00rabh Sorry, Had to get it out. You should really get the go pro.

  • @MrMiniSwag

Cool mate.. I am thinking for Contour HD GPS. Features are better.

  • @S00rabh Contour is much smaller if you want to ONLY record off your helmet. GoPro is better in every other way(quality, price, mounting ability, settings, angle of view, etc). So if you want to do more than just put it on your helmet get GoPro.

  • @TheOfficialKC

I got my GoPro month back. Thanks..

  • hes paddling hes paddling ohh and a shark out of nowhere thakes his arm off. lol

  • Is the guy riding a 2008 Giant Glory DH-1 with the Fox 32 f-series, just wondering cause the giant glories are DH bikes.

  • pause at 0:12

  • My Sony Bloggie does 60fps @ 720p, but it also does 30fps at 1080p...I ain't even mad

  • @MxC1337MxCsh43d like, i got one. it's pretty chill, i aint even mad though.

  • @ToasterStrudelCC Umad bro, I got a sony bloggie with better picture

  • @MxC1337MxCsh43d are bloggies water proof? how do you mount it?

  • sound quality needs some work..

  • What kind of mountain bike racing is this and do they have contest?

  • So I'm guessing, what you do is record in 60fps, then when you edit it, double the speed so It plays normal speed, but is smoother because of the 60 fps.

  • Where is the camera ? on the helmet ?? because it doesn't moove his head !! ??

  • @rominwood Yes, it's attached to the helmet.

  • The guy on the bike makes it look easy.

  • how do people get the really good slp mo? when I do mine it just looks like ur slowing down regular old 30 fps video... how do i get it 60fps?!

  • @arandomthot5 What resolution are you filing in on the HD HERO? Only, r3 and r1 have 60fps.

  • @GoProCamera what are u talking about? there is more then one mode?! I have always just turned it on, and pressed the botten to record! is there more then one type of record setting?!

  • @arandomthot5 Do you have the HD HERO? If so, then yes. If you have one of our older 5MP or 3MP cameras, then no, there are not multiple recording modes.

  • @GoProCamera I have the new HD hero... I got it last year.... right around spring timme (saying this just in case a new one has come out) but yeah I have the HD hero. how do I get the really smooth slow motion?

  • @GoProCamera I have the HD hero. how do u switch modes? is there like a 60fps and a 30fps mode(s)?

  • @arandomthot5 r3 and r1 film in 60fps. If you are in either of those modes, you are recording in 60fps.

  • @arandomthot5 you have to film at high fps ( for the gopro film at 60fps ) then when you treat your movie, use a 50% slow motion and you will have a good quality

  • @karlkhawand how do you films at a high fps... I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MY CAMERA!

  • @arandomthot5 you have the gopro hero HD? the new 5 MP one? If yes, then you must switch to 720p and 60 fps. ( you cannot do 60 fps in 1080p )

I do not use the gopro hero HD. I use my canon 7D. So how to make it in the menu, that I do not know.

  • @arandomthot5 As we said, go to the r3 setting. If you need help, contact the support team on our site. It is a more appropriate and effective way of contacting us for this sort of thing.

  • haha, im loving the reatarded faces he is making!

  • What bike is that?

  • whats the best editing software?

  • I realy want to buy this cam but!!! you must buy at least a 8 GB card otherwise you can only shoot 4 like an hour and these cards are not included. so im realy amped and busy saving, but i dont want to buy it and have to buy other thins that add up to a lot off cash money. PS im 16 and dont have a job so saving is a must. RSA

  • Lol the dude in the begginnings like OH SHIT! hte whole time

  • Does it has inbuilt steady or something? Everything looks soooo smooth. Can't wait when you guys are making 120 FPS :D/

  • I just got this cam today and I am hoping to use it for some nice fighting and chasing. I thing this cam opens really loads of possibilities.

  • I have tried many programmes to edit and upload and cannot get anything as good as this quality, is Final Cut Pro the best for the GoPro then and if so what settings are used when uploading? Thanks for any help, I am losing my mind trying so many things, the quality is great on my HD tv but YouTube is another thing apart from your video.

  • @JazzFiveO Have you tried sony vegas hd?

  • @Dapruneman funny thing, I just bought it and have great settings for YouTube uploads now, its a great programme, thanks.

  • @JazzFiveO Yep no problem, its my favorite by far, but i don't have this camera yet. Would you recommend it because i'm highly interested, it looks like a great camera

  • @Dapruneman Oh man just get it, I use it on my motorcycle and its great, if you keep watching my videos you will see one in a few days which I recorded today... once ive edited it on Vegas :)

  • @JazzFiveO Yea im planning on it, it seems like a great deal especially because it will NEVER break haha. and another thing about vegas is you can upload it from within the program itself without even having to bring up youtube ;)

  • @JazzFiveO Check out Tips & Tutorials on the Support tab at gopro.com

  • @JazzFiveO u know wot? ive seen the official HD Hero videos, and ive seen home videos of users of this camera, and these are quite worlds apart. it is not your editing software fault [though there seem to be a post-production work on these official videos, like added saturation etc.these Arent Raw videos of the camera in my opinion]. The only reason you should care about your editing software is that your encoding wont come out pixelated. other than that-i think all official footage is misleading

  • @eladbari I agree with you, but I now use Sony Vegas Platinum 10 and have pretty good settings for rendering etc. check out my most recent videos on my motorbike and see what you think, I cannot get it any better than that though.

  • @JazzFiveO cool..ill check your videos..hope to see some quality like the official GoPro videos :]

  • @JazzFiveO Go buy the "POWER DIRECTOR 8 ULTRA" around 100USD. The software does everything incl slowmotion and ALL formats aaaaaand it uploads to youtube and facebook DIRECTLY from WITHIN the software itself to online! You can thank me later... trust me i had same issues.

  • @lindstrem Umm... imovie does everything you just listed, practically for free.

  • @JazzFiveO

not gunna lie. for anything final cut pro is the best. either that or adobe premire .

  • this camera shoots sweet video

  • where is this?

  • wow me quede pendejo . you very good

  • im having trouble getting my final cut express software to read the 60 fps setting on my new gopro. is this because of the software and is there a way to update it to read it or should i just upgrade to final cut pro?

  • Bought GoPro Hero HD a couple months ago. Given it the complete shake-down using all its various settings both video and still. I'll give it five stars, only because there aren't more stars to rate! This camera is so versatile and gets amazingly good HD footage. Sound...not so great...terrible actually, but I use digital handheld audio anyway. The Protective underwater housing is just awesome!

  • lol the faces he made while serfing were price less

  • so you have to slow down the footage in post in order to make this work?

  • is this actually the best camera ever?

  • Im thinking of buying the camera, but, i was wondering, i don't want to spend too much on it seeing as though i already have a basic video camera, so instead of buying the 300+ cameras with wide lenses, im thinking of getting the 100 dollar wrist camera, and buying standard housing to put it on my helmet. Is this camera cheaper because the quality of the video is worse?

  • @FragzAndPies yes

  • is there any kind of power charger for car? dont seem to find any on the web page

  • This is amazing footage!!!

  • congratuations guys you have created a very good camera!!!

  • ıs slowmotion possible with the standart def Hero?

  • Does this camera have image stabilization?

  • That's so crazy! xD Awesome duuuude :D

  • i am one of these confused people over slow mo and 30 fps so i record in either and then when i upload them to my computer and use an editing software to put them in slowmo would 30 or 60 fps be better? or higher? i use imovie and just slow them down.

  • 60fps would be better for slowmotion

  • @luckycharmers095

you have it right. to get the slow motion effect it would be best to record in 60 frames per second and upload it to your computer and use editing software to slow it down. 60 frames per second is the best option as it will provide more frames to get a smooth video when it is slowed down on the computer.

  • @goprotasha thanks. thats what i thought. i cant wait until i get this camera.

  • OK.. First of I have the HD and r3 is really cool. It blows my Sanyo 720p @30fps out of the water. However, there seems to be NO support for editing the MP4 direct from the camera. There are a bunch of threads on the net at present trying to sort out the best software to use. Also the settings for editing this stuff is not on the GoPro website. I would have expected them to post the settings for Adobe, Vegas, so we can at least cut the stuff we shoot.....

  • @xrayhead you can edit it with sony vegas without a problem

  • @xrayhead Exactly. One of the main points of a gopro is value. I'm not going to go and spend another 900 dollars on final cut pro. I think they should have more settings for cheaper programs.

  • I have bought the camera, and I can't tell the difference between the regular and slowmotion mode (r2 and r3). What's going on? Could be ther SD card that it's not class 4 but class 2? Thanks for answers.

  • Slow motion is all in the play back. You have to set your player to actually play back at half-speed. Normal video is 30 fps. The 60 fps mode on the camera is doubling up on the frame rate so that when you *do* play back at half-speed, it displays just as smoothly as the video shot at full speed, because the 60 fps clips will be *playing* at 30fps.

  • Too many people are confusing 60fps with the term 'slow mo'. More people need to see this GoProCamera's explanation on the feature.

  • @GoProCamera

When I replay videos from r3 at a fifth (0,20) of the regular speed it will still play smoothly, only at 0,12 we started to notice the individual frames. That blew my mind :D Thank you for making this camera GoPro =)

  • @GoProCamera so how do you do that

  • Comment removed

  • @GoProCamera hopefully a TUTORIAL i made could help people understand SLOW MOTION 60FPS a little better!!

    watch?v=PTLNm0s2ZHg

    CHECK IT OUT!!!

  • @GoProCamera if you play it full speed at 60 fps will the footage look much smoother?

  • @zoogle7 I am pretty sure our eyes only see at like 20fps so it probably won't look any smoother at 60fps.

  • @TheOfficialKC : 24fps is a standard in most of the motion-picture/video world. But the point of shooting at 60fps is to then play it back at 24fps--this is how slow motion is achieved. To make something look faster you crank at 5/10/15 fps and play it back at 24fps. This has been around since the days of silent movies and actually cranking the film through the camera by hand, thus the terms, "under cranked" and "over cranked."

  • @fenixfoto Yes, I know. my comment was about recording at 60fps vs 30fps but still playing them back at normal speed. The guy i was responding to was wondering if it will be smoother. I don't think you will notice a difference. You will only notice the difference after you slow it down.

  • Shoot 720P at 60fps then playback at 30fps. Voila 50% reduction in speed. If you're looking for 1000fps slo mo you're out of luck.

  • @jongaman FPS stands for frames per second. If something is 1 frame a second, that means its 1 snapshot every second. now if its 60 frames a second, it captures 60 snapshots in that one second instead of 1. So if I had those 60 frames in my hand as photos, I could make a flip book and flip those 60 photos very slow to make that 1 second look VERY slow. If I had only 1 frame per second.. how would I make that one frame look like a slow-mo flipbook? I can't. I need more frames. make sense?

  • @jongaman Lol idiot.

  • After spending the $299 on this camera, I asked tech support a question about slow motion... but never received an answer. I shot samples in 30fps and 60fps (r2 and r3 modes) and couldn't tell any difference. Would you please explain.

  • i think u must edit it in a program, and the r3 mod is better to editing slow motion effect.

that at least what i have figured out!

correct me if i am wrong.

  • could his face look any stupider? I don't think so! LOL

  • awesome

  • I need one of those. I have to use it when im Rockclimbing/rapelling

  • This surf footage is fantastic! I've been enjoying mine too. It is a bit of a guessing game when it comes to camera angle once mounted on the board as well as where to mount it-how far from you. I installed 2 FCS mounts on my 9'4" and use the included adhesive mount on my 6'8 and sometimes you cut your head or feet off a bit in R3 or R5 mode.GoPro should make an indexing guage on the mount so that you could then say "ok, on my 6'8 I need to index to angle setting X" or use color indexing lines.

  • so this is 720 @ 60FPS - what speed did you readjust to in Final Cut? Half speed?

Just got the HD Hero for Xmas, love it!

  • i think the quality is great ok.. but the sound.. umm i think it cuts to much. dont you think¿?. i would like to hear more.

  • can u use suction cups on motocross helmets?

  • that wave must be at least 10ft, what do you think?

  • What software did you use to edit this video? thanks great stuff!

  • Final Cut Pro

  • @GoProCamera How do you import to final cut pro with 60 fps?

  • @wybot360 Check out the Tips & Tutorials on the Support tab at gopro.com There you will find some useful information, including "Importing & Exporting GoPro Video in Final Cut Pro 7.0" which will answer your question.

  • I just recently bought this camera as the 60fps slow mo shooting really caught my attention. I was just wondering which editing software was used in this video or any that you know of that are compatible with shooting in 60fps. It looks so smooth in this video compared to other 60fps GoPro videos i have seen.

  • i dont know what he's doing different from the other pple using this camera but alot of the other videos shot from the "same camera" look like shit compared to this

  • To which camera are you referring? The new HD HERO we just released captures quality even higher than this. Perhaps you are seeing content from the original (standard definition) HERO cameras? If you search "GoPro HD", you'll see plenty of other, sharp, high-quality video up to 1080p. Cheers- GoPro.

  • I just got my hands on some raw footage yesterday and I can tell you this. Nothing on the internet does this camera justice. I've seen the vids you're talking about too and I agree they look like crap. My guess is people are converting them and using compression or something. Windows Media Player won't play the files as they come out of the camera (mp4) so I guess that's why people would do it. GoPro would be wise to get some raw footage for DOWNLOAD on their site ASAP. Along with a link to VLC.

  • I had the Wide version and a matter of 1 month GoPro has the HD model. would love to buy the new model. Great video

  • lol so funny.READ THE TITLE PLS :D

  • how much does this thing cost ?!

  • 299 USD

  • woow this is amazing!

  • pissed i bought the regular one, used it once, then this one come out, lol. badass unit.

  • What cam are u using

  • are you blind or just stupid. cant u just read the title

  • you dumbass... holy shit... read the title

  • already ordered and really have a tough time waiting for the HD Hero to ship

  • same
