  • Thumbs up if you noticed that the columns in Darkness' throne room are from Blade Runner.

  • Bryan Ferry brought me here , David Gilmour kept me until the end .

  • Attention: white man dancing......lol, still a great song and video though.

  • How To Destroy Angels sent me back here too... but that was just to show me once again how much the original kicks ass and blows it out of the water. Bryan's voice offers much more passion and fits the atmosphere of "Legend." And the sound of the guitar in this... bliss to the ears. Not sure why the cover was SO toned down and flat.

  • Millenium brought me here.

  • justin bieber's jesus tattoo brought me here. oh, how jesus looks longingly up at justin's bieber... is your love strong enough... indeed... like a rock in the sea *ahem*

  • @ 3:37 unmistakeably Gilmour

  • thank you Mrs.Reznor for the influenza

  • Love love love love love Bryan Ferry! Thanks for posting!

  • One of the best songs that ever came from a motion picture. Powerful. Got the movie and the soundtrack. Blessings !

  • Man, reminds me of that tiny little crush I had on Mia Sarah back in the day.

  • Snookie, Katy Perry and the Kardashians are treated, and looked up upon as angels in today's society. Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Mariqueen Maandig are teaching us how to destroy them.

  • And the best part of this video? You don't see Tom Cruise up close in it. x)

  • @SuperRedeyedtreefrog Lolol, I would LOVE to hear what bands you think are good. I'm sure Nickleback, Three Days Grace, Mayday Parade, and other absolute garbage packed, mainstream shit is on your list.

  • COME ON Trent Reznor !

  • After rediscovering this great little ditty, I'm curious to hear how Trent Reznor adapts this for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

  • I totally 4got @ this AWESOME song & film; what memories! Great Post!

  • i bet when folks wake up on hell they will see the devil and say "OH WOW THE DUDE FROM LEGEND IS HERE! and run up and ask for his autograph!

  • YOU THINK YOU HAVE WON! WHAT IS LIGHT WITHOUT DARK? I AM A PART OF YOU ALL,WE ARE BROTHERS,ETERNAL!

  • Una was probably the scariest character in that whole movie..beyond Darkness/Curry Beyond Blix...she was just freaky!

  • This is the funniest shit ever.

  • wow... i guess that creature isn't strong enough to withstand the brilliance of david gilmour's guitar. i can't wait to hear what trent reznor & how to destroy angels will do with this. please get someone cool on the guitar for that song.

  • How to Destroy Angels sent me here.

  • @PunisherPayne *sigh...

  • Bryan Ferry looks like a fat Gabriel Byrne circa End of Days.

  • Klasse

  • wow , this was one of my fav movies back in the day. Awesome song !!

  • pamiętam tę piosenkę z filmu "ich troje"- threesome to był jeden z filmów mojej młodości wspaniały klimatyczny związany z najpiękniejszymi chwilami, utwór cudowny, wali po czaszce i serduchu

  • just love this song

  • I love Legend so much, I broke two VHS cassettes! I can quote this movie by memory! Such an awesome film!!! Tim Curry's portrayal of the Lord of Darkness is the BEST!!! I can honestly say...I wanted to F*** the devil! He was just that hot!

  • The song is so memorable more than I can say for about 95% of all music;the same goes for the movie as well. The idiots in Hollywood are out of original ideas they're remaking classics better left alone like Conan the Barbarian,The Thing and even though I hated Footloose leave it alone it doesn't have to be redone to have more ethnic diversity or more lead women roles etc.etc.political correctness is nothing but a check for a butthole with no ideas of his or her own.MTV sucks too the source.

  • This is probably my favorite song of all time! S! MJ

  • he can't dance

  • David Gilmour = perfect

  • El sueño de Juan Carlos Pelotudo:cantar bien y que te acompañe un amigote con la guitarra, para conseguir minitas.

  • This song is beyond awesome, but damn Brian Ferry walks awkwardly.

  • @koverm you should see BRYAN FERRY, when he tries to dance..FERRY, well over 6 feet is not the most nimble on his feet..that's what makes him so GREAT..off-key voice..off-key movement..a perfect blend..seeing him perform..there's nothing like it..VERY IMPRESSIVE!..

  • David Gilmour will always be my hero.. nobody can make a guitar sing like he does!

  • I find it ironic that, not once, do you see Tom Cruise's face, in this entire video, and he played the hero in the movie.

  • When I saw this movie the first time I literally said out loud, "THIS is how my dreams look!" The mood, the settings, the feel of the movie, Not surprisingly this is one of my favorite movies and the music only makes it better. Sometimes everything just blends perfectly. This is one of those times.....

  • Brrrrrr... I got shivers when i Listen to this. :O

  • Love this song and movie! :0)

  • This movie made me cry and made me feel like it was soo real... when i saw it in 1080p not 240p when it was just red and black and white colors only.

  • so much work went into this movie..the make-up job on Tim Curry is beyond unreal, have to buy it on blu-ray asap.

  • Great song!

  • I'm going to see Bryan Ferry soon. This is probably one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • I love this movie and I love this song even more, but that staircase thing at 3:34...I almost fell out of the chair. Hahahah!

  • screw sean faris

there can only be one tom cruise….

  • This may be the most perfect Love Song!

  • @AirMail56 most certainly!

  • i loved this movie....his voice added beauty to it.. gilmore was not bad either...

  • Legend...is my favorite movie in the entire world.

  • I can't decide which soundtrack to 'Legend' I like the most. Jerry Goldsmith's soundtrack is one of his best. On the other hand I also love Tangerine Dream's soundtrack, complete with Bryan Ferry's above track. Apparently Goldsmith wouldn't forgive Ridley Scott for dropping his soundtrack for the European release.

  • Excellent!!!! One of my all time favs......thanks for sharing!

  • what a morning song thanks Dope

  • Is your Love strong enough, its gotta be, not undecided or gloomy, but happy and engulfing

  • I can't stop watching. Never saw this video before, and what a great song!

  • I had a Beta tape of this video from Mtv (back when they played videos) I probably watched it a million times! I can still recite this movie from beginning to end and yes I am proud of this fact. Best part, after the Legend video was Prince's "Kiss"!

  • I've got 'Legend' on DVD-Ridley Scott is a true master!!

I loved every minute of it!

  • Played mate, I loved this song but i had forgotten about it until i stumbled across it here, especially Dave Gilmours Guitar. Sweet.

  • I didn't know a video even existed for this. Double awesome to have David Gilmour in a guest appearance. Love Legend, love this song! Thanks for posting this up!

  • The Wicked One cannot withstand the pure light of Gilmour the Masterful! Look how The Devil cowers in His presence!!

  • LONG LOVE 80's music and movies!

  • This brings back memories of time/ love gone, yet not forgotten.

  • Oh man, I want to cry when I hear this song, and when I think about those magical times in the 80s.

  • This takes u back ! what a awesome move and sound track.... thanks

  • Mi pleasure, I am glad you enjoyed it, it's a wonderful piece. Best regards.

  • @dbrhall I truly think you did the world a great service when you delivered this video to the Internet. This is pure and cleansing music from Bryan Ferry & David Gilmour. A great alternative to the Lady GaGas and Katy Perrys as well as the so-called Snookis out destroying our society with their nauseous "entertainment". Live long and prosper.

  • @timepoet77, I just try to lend a hand and find that music that you are completely unable to get anywhere else. I am happy to know that you enjoyed it! Cheers!

  • @timepoet77 The most casually vile thing in modern popular society is people on the internet posting nasty youtube comments, not Lady Gaga. Can't we all just get along?

  • @honeywellkills I don't believe it's wrong for me to state my opinion on things that matter a great deal to me. Or is that too much to ask?

  • @timepoet77 Of course that isn't wrong. You're just being ridiculously uncivil. Let's put it this way, based on the limited evidence I have right now, I'd rather hang out with Snooki than you. She's probably nicer.

  • @honeywellkills Nobody's asking you to, anyway. Get off my case!!

  • @timepoet77 Didn't you just defend your casual incivility under the aegis of free speech and passion? Am *I* not allowed to call you out for being a prick?

  • @timepoet77 and how about that damn Elvis Presley shaking his hips on national TV like that?

  • @timepoet77 GAHAHAH snookie

  • Great song! It's like 8th grade all over again! lol

  • e ogni volta sono penotti..!

  • Before Peter Jackson 's Lord of the Ring movie, there was LEGEND. Ridley Scott is one hell of a Director. All dreams and nightmare both equally beautiful in one magical film. The songs are perfect for the movie. Thank you Ridley Scott. Its movies like this that made growing up so wonderful.

  • @djmaui Are you aware that there are actually 2 versions. The US has the music you are reffering to performed by Tangerine Dream and is edited by about 1/2 hr. The foreign verion has the unedited director's cut with a totally different musical score. You can find the Ultimate Edition 2 disc version from 2002 on ebay that has both versions and great bonus feaures. Highly recomended!

    Take care,

    Mark

  • @love4mod Its things like these that makes me happy to be alive. The beauty of life and creativity.

  • @djmaui Ridley Scott is supposedly to be making and directing the prequel to Alien, which he was involved with in the production of the original.I say that because i don't need some youtube knowitall to inform me on something i already know. From what i gather it's supposed to have something to do with the alien's of the derelict ship that the Nostromo crew found. He make's or made some damn good movie's.Bladerunner,Alien and Legend.

  • @garnerdonnie Ridley Scott is truly a master in the arts of Directing. No arguments. I cherish my childhood dreams. Thanks to him.

  • Such a wonderful song.

  • Bryan Ferry has always been a very well skilled musician in tantilizing the heart!

  • he DOES have the voice!!!!

  • Epic...

  • Bryan Ferry was sooo handsome. I love this song never saw this video. Those eyes of his... Mesmerizing.

  • Just saw a picture of him recently ...still has the eyes.

  • Thanx for upload. I haven't seen this video in forever but I have the song on my ipod. This is the only love song I like. =D

  • My pleasure. Take care.

  • semi-interesting fact about david gilmour, when ever he has done a guest/session appearence, he has never taken a fee for himself, instead, whoever the artist is that he works with, he asks them just to write a cheque out to there favourite charity instead, just shows you the kind of guy gilmour is.

  • This tune belongs in my all-time top-ten songs playing when credits are rolling during the end of movie.

  • Love the song Bryan Ferry is amazing. This is one of my favorite movies. I love Tim Curry he is the King of Cool. I wonder why he did not do a song for this movie. I am sure he could have pulled it off

  • @raven07456 Mia Sara,,,,yum!

  • Oh man if the 80's dancing and jacket weren't enough, it's super corny when he is climbing the chromakeyed stairs over the screen. This song has a special place in my heart and I love the film.

  • Comment removed

  • Gilmour is the chosen one to defeat Satan!

  • @aweoig haha love your comment :)

  • How do they keep that pointy thing on the pony?

  • gotta love that 80's dancing lol

  • love this song

  • what is ridley scott's obsession with unicorns? dreaming of electric sheep maybe?

  • I love Bryan Ferry's voice!!!

  • For me, Bryan Ferry brings back the fabulous '80s more than any other artist; those sexy, genius, and musical rockers!

  • Great video. Makes me want to see the movie, after all these years.

  • Having debonair Brian take the place of creepy Cruise is genius. An ace track.

  • I second that! I'd never heard this song until Dec. 2008. Legend's ending credits were rolling and I said, "I've got to find out what that song is!' Although it's from awhile ago, It's one of my new faves!

  • I know its a great song and I also loved the other song on the Legend Soundtrack called Darkness.

  • There are 2 different versions of this film with 2 different soundtracks. This song is from the Tangerine Dream USA version of the film... also featured a song by Jon Anderson of Yes called "Loved By the Sun"

  • Yep, the endings are quite different. In the UK version Darkness is vanquished whilst in the other version it is slightly hinted that Darkness survived. Still I prefer the version with this song by Bryan Ferry.

  • David Gilmour is really great, his guitar solos are amazing!! rock on David!!!

  • But he won't, I'm afraid.

  • Why is Gilmour dieing or something?

  • no love david is very much alive

  • Nice one,and a young Tom Cruse on you go guys.
