@globine1414 rev high. drop clutch hit brake with foot from clutch. if that don't work then your timing is slow or you have not enough hp. i have yet to try my 2.3l 89 ranger. i don't think itll do anything. it has like 4 horsepower. although it gets good damn gas.
@SerendipitouslyMy no the day before this burnout he had a little accident with it and it cracked the steering "collom" and a few days after it broke and the truck and my friend who was driving it went down a 20 foot ditch and it wrecked the truck and my was ok ,,so we sold the truck for parts
Some just dont... and I dont believe Rangers had 2.9's in 92. they switched over in the mid-late 80's to the 3.0. Not that youre wrong, but I was pretty sure they changed the entire lineup before then. My friends 92 has a 2.3 four cyl, wich replaced the 2.0.
@88Rangerindanger yea, no. 2.9's would bust blocks, wear out oil pumps and split radiators like no other. When that ran they would run, but if you got a bad one you knew it. The 3.0 was the first engine in america to be built from the ground up to be computer operated, and has gone unchanged for nearly 30 years. The Cologne 2.9 was in production for maybe ten years.
