Love mad max and Aussie muscle. Not a huge fan of the look of them done up as an interceptor buth the whole point of restoring a car is doing your own thing and the personal touches are what make it unique. Thumbs up for doing your own thing.
I'm not going to knock the Mad Max rebuild. It is still a beautiful machine. I am going to say, however, that the stock looks of the Aussie Falcon are damned gorgeous. Just look at those beautiful lines, the windows, the rear quarters... The stock model was a fine looking machine. No matter if it's a Mad Max replica, or a stock rebuild, these cars still scream power, grace, and beauty. Fine job, sir. Fine job.

This NOW beautiful car was a pile of junk six cylinder car that was neglected and abused by it's former Australian owner, destined for the junkyard. Many, many thousands of dollars later, it was brought back to life. If I had not purchased this car in 2001, it would be a soda can in your hand right now.

@biggzyboys Well...if you took the time to look at my other videos, you'd see I had done just that. Yet another neglected Falcon destined for the scrap heap that I threw a ton of money into. This one was my first and is a genuine XB GT JG66 car. WHEN I built the Interceptor replica, there were not many, so there was wasn't "nearly everybody" doing it. Plus, ten years ago, hardly anyone in Oz was saving GT's, much less saving a mere Falcon 500 XB GS 6 banger.

Purchased a base model piece of crap that no one wanted, built my dream car, and ten years later some anonymous person on the internet gives me shit for it. Guess, you can't please everyone...P.S. There are only around 100 MM cars worldwide. There are much more stock Falcons, so I would think "everybody" isn't doing it

@kingkong87m No, the one in the movie is a fake, it would require a very complicated system of bypass valves and air ducts to make a supercharger that could be switched on and off. All real superchargers are permanently on.
Systems to turn on and off the turbo or supercharger, have been around since the 90's at the least.
Some manufacturers have actually started to use this system in mass production cars.
The BMW M5 E60 has a 5,0 V10 which can produce 507hp, while in "M-mode". In normal mode, it runs as a V8, in M-mode, as a V10.
BMW Z4 E89 has a 3.0, twin turbo straight 6 engine. The turbo's "start up" only during kick-down acceleration. Otherwise, the car either runs with the turbos turned off.

Love mad max and Aussie muscle. Not a huge fan of the look of them done up as an interceptor buth the whole point of restoring a car is doing your own thing and the personal touches are what make it unique. Thumbs up for doing your own thing.

I'm not going to knock the Mad Max rebuild. It is still a beautiful machine. I am going to say, however, that the stock looks of the Aussie Falcon are damned gorgeous. Just look at those beautiful lines, the windows, the rear quarters... The stock model was a fine looking machine. No matter if it's a Mad Max replica, or a stock rebuild, these cars still scream power, grace, and beauty. Fine job, sir. Fine job.

This NOW beautiful car was a pile of junk six cylinder car that was neglected and abused by it's former Australian owner, destined for the junkyard. Many, many thousands of dollars later, it was brought back to life. If I had not purchased this car in 2001, it would be a soda can in your hand right now.

I am not trying to knock you on the its final outcome, i am just saying why turn it into a mad max interceptor replica which nearly every body does but when you could restore it back to original condition. They are becoming quiet a rarity in Australia now, and i am constantly seeing these beautiful old cars being turned into mad max replicas or ridiculous hot wheels lookalike cars

@biggzyboys Well...if you took the time to look at my other videos, you'd see I had done just that. Yet another neglected Falcon destined for the scrap heap that I threw a ton of money into. This one was my first and is a genuine XB GT JG66 car. WHEN I built the Interceptor replica, there were not many, so there was wasn't "nearly everybody" doing it. Plus, ten years ago, hardly anyone in Oz was saving GT's, much less saving a mere Falcon 500 XB GS 6 banger.

@biggzyboysSO...I still don't get your question. I purchased a XB GT to make a MM Interceptor. Realized the scarcity of a GT ( only 123 produced in '75 ) and restored it instead. Purchased a base model piece of crap that no one wanted, built my dream car, and ten years later some anonymous person on the internet gives me shit for it. Guess, you can't please everyone...P.S. There are only around 100 MM cars worldwide. There are much more stock Falcons, so I would think "everybody" isn't doing it

first Aussie car(48/215) was designed in Detroit because the original design was shit.first Aussie design was the EH Holden,first Aussie design Commodore was the VT.first Torana was a Vauxhall Viva GT and the next Torana was a Chevy Vega.Aussie Falcon came straight from the States in 1960.all designs for Aussie cars must be approved by the manufacturers head design first.there has never been a Aussie designed,made and owned car for mass production.probably never will be.GM,Ford,Chrysler.U.S.A

funny...i live in Canada. and i love the american cars. and ill say this....the coupes have serious rust problems. i have a 10 sec fire bird with just bolt on parts.i have a 460 hp pontiac 428 on the stand... on the stand ..... if i were to put that in there it would be all over.what a joke..hehe haha.

@kingkong87m No, the one in the movie is a fake, it would require a very complicated system of bypass valves and air ducts to make a supercharger that could be switched on and off. All real superchargers are permanently on.

Systems to turn on and off the turbo or supercharger, have been around since the 90's at the least.
Some manufacturers have actually started to use this system in mass production cars.
The BMW M5 E60 has a 5,0 V10 which can produce 507hp, while in "M-mode". In normal mode, it runs as a V8, in M-mode, as a V10.
BMW Z4 E89 has a 3.0, twin turbo straight 6 engine. The turbo's "start up" only during kick-down acceleration. Otherwise, the car either runs with the turbos turned off.
