Nothing wrong with doing vocals, imo. I think you should be able to do anything that increases the GE of the show or enhances the audiences experience. This is more important than adhering to tradition. Push the envelope and always look for something new.  That said, I have never heard good live vocals from anyone. The pre-recorded stuff came off fine though.

Rcc adds vocals to some of their music cuz they want to create a feeling for the audiance of them actually listening to the music/soundtrack. They did something like this again in their 2008 show...i was in the band then ^^ i can only wonder what this year's show will be ^^b

This was awesome. Seriously, pure awesome. We're are doing almost this exact show next year in my band and if we play even nearly as well as you guys, I think we'll go far. Only thing I didn't like was the "Argentinian" singer during Roxxanne.

Wow! This is an amazing show! I'm from Worthington MN, I'm in the colorgaurd for the Trojan marching band. We just started doing field last year,  and competing too! Your Moulin Rouge theme is really cool; Love the show!

i was just there on saturday performing in the preview of champions. i was with lakeside highschool, i play baritone. rcc is amazing i think they played live and let die and then another tune i cant remember but it was awesome.

Yep, it's the Big Orange Classic show. The only other full show performance we did was for the Bon Voyage the following Thursday.

This band freaking rocks. It's ranked in the top 10 college bands every year and its a community college....my friend started school there as a freshman. He plays the Sousa :) omg its so awesome to have him in that band!

Well, nevermind the fact that they give credit for any Blue Devil member that marches. There's also a ton of awesome marching bands in Cali and the greatest corps ever BD, SCV, VK and a few others that I can't think of right now. Most other states don't even have a drumcorps, or a large number of great marching bands. And they are definately a great band, I would like to see college bands compete though. I would have to throw a couple of names in the ring: Morehead State from Kentucky and UK.

Yes they can. Since there are many different Judging associations is is ok. Some prefer not, but I have seen many High School Shows that use bakc ground Vocals
