@LecceDiPane hampden is a historical stadium ,like old wembley was, olympia in munich, meazza bernabeu cam nou anfield. They re all legendary stadiums. But,the best stadium-sports facility in the world is BY FAR cowboys stadium. It literaly shits on any arena in this world, even wembley or allianz look like a joke compared to US stadiums.
what a beautiful stadium, and excellent documentary from Drew Carey an american who keeps an open mind. I wish more american's would have that same mentality.
@mmmodafoca I have Spanish/Mexican parents living in California and i have to say that i keep an open mind of a lot of things. As a Barça supporter, i think that appreciation and love for football has always been in me, i just had to find it at the right time.
even in Brazil we have a few stadiums that have those seats for the reserve players. Why the NY Yanks stadium has wood benches for the players, I have no idea!
@rogerpenna Baseball is very traditional. It would be seen at too gaudy putting players above the club. Baseball has other ways to do that like with the big contracts, etc. Think of the same way Brazil doesn't change its national football kit because of tradition.
It's a beautiful stadium, tops in the world of course.
@ardiesken If your referring to the Camp Nou (sorry, i didnt see you the post you responded to) the capacity there is close to 100,000 at an actual 99, 354 according to Wikipedia. Maybe some fans or people that have been there can shed some real light. I hope to see a couple of matches there... some day baby.
Santiago Bernabeu is amazing, if you like soccer and you happen to be in Madrid - go to tour de bernabeu even if you're Barcelona fan, it's a stadium but there are cafes, restaurants, shops, museum. It's like a temple of football/soccer.
Americans have this stupid ass tendency to disagree or admire in beautiful things outside the country because they are always trying to find a way to insult them or prove that they have something better within the US. I've lived in California for over 17 years so I know. It's not all of them of course, but MOST.
Yeah, biggest stadiums of the continent are in Spain, Germany, England, Italy, and France... But the biggest in the world are in Mexico, Brazil, and South Korea, kinda strange, but they are all stadiums for football clubs, not those gay ass American sports
Yes those stadiums youve just stated are capable of welcoming plenty of fans but keep in mind those people dont have seats, their arse is on a bench that circles the stadium. Besides the Bernabeu is the most beautiful and spectacular statium you'll ever see in present day. The locker rooms, cafes, restaurents and suits are unreal, its really a sight to see so who cares how big other stadiums are when you have a modern jewel like this.
welll said the bernabeu should be the mecca of stadiums every player in the world should wish to play there.. and every fan in the world would be delighted to just walk the tunnels to the stage.
Moron? Okay I'll provide statistics. Here was the average attendance for ONLY the SEC. So this is just 1 COLLEGE conference, not even the biggest stadiums in the nation.
This stadium opened in 1947. In the 50's it hosted crowds of 120,000. Now, due to strict UEFA regulations (no benches or standing places), its capacity was reduced to 80,000 individual seats atm.
Anyway, you don't seem to grasp how big Real Madrid is. They don't depend on attendance, they have around 60 million fans around the world. Their budget for this year is 351 million euros, that's 490 million dollars.
Nobody watches your "sports", so your "stadiums" with no seats are empty. And the biggest stadiums in the world are all home to football clubs and national teams, not your faggot sport.
1) That's exaclty what I said about Camp Nou, but apparently you can't read.
2) It's easy to have huge stadiums if they all have benches, all the stadiums in Europe would have capacities of 70,000 or more if we did that. Maracana (Rio de Janeiro) used to have a capacity of 250,000, now only 100,000.
@fiveoscar then explain why the Maracana stadium in Rio De Janeiro had a capacity of 250,000 back when it had benches and now has 100,000 since it switched to seats? Camp Nou with benches would easily have a capacity of more than 180,000... My "poor excuse" uses facts, yours uses the stupid Yank nationalist idea that you do everything better than everyone else...
Benches? Capacity was changed because people died and a bunch more were injured when the upper deck collapsed in 1992. I think bad engineering is a good reason to change the capacity. Not it seats 88,992.
Your poor excuses have been demoted to shitty excuses.
And Beaver Stadium has a "seating capacity" of 257,000. All in their own space. Not a bench.
@fiveoscar you've just proven the entire world you were a stupid fuck. THe biggest stadium in the world, wich is in North Korea and home to its national football team (the real football) sits 250,000... So your 257,000 bullshit is the worst fucking "fact" anyone could give... Read the Guiness World Records if you want proof... But thanks for making all of your points completely invalid with that one...
@fol2005 I'm a huge college football fan, but comparing stadiums like these, that are probably used 5-7 times a year almost to capacity, to the majestic Santiago Bernabeu that is probably used closer to 35 times a year to absolute capacity is pretty stupid.
If you're comparing capacity of the stadium, then it makes perfect sense. Using your "logic", the smallest stadium in mexico would be bigger than all of ours.
Here's an easy task, simply type "biggest stadiums in the world" on Google or any other search engine and see where your stadium ranks. Then go feel sorry for yourself.
@fiveoscar Estadio Azteca in Mexico City is the biggest in North America... Your stupid beaver stadium only has a 120,000 capacity with benches... European stadiums remain the most impressive, and the ones in South America and North Korea are still the biggest in the world... Check YOUR facts
@fiveoscar yes I did... And that's why your sources are simply US propaganda, because your country will never admit that another can do better than them, especially not a communist country...
My sources? I guess you use some other source than the internet. Can you please post a link to your special source? Preferably one that doesn't leat up your ass which is where I'm sure you're getting your info.
@fiveoscar Maybe YOU should show your sources, because I don't use sources, I use FACTS... Is the Guinness World Records book not enough of a good fact collection
Do you know what a source is?? Wherever you get your "facts", that would be your source, dipshit. That's like me saying, "I don't use words, I speak". Haha!
I've searched the Guiness website and there's nothing about the Assteca being the largest stadium in north America.
Try simply typing "largest stadiums" on ANY search engine and weep, bitch.
@fiveoscar what are YOU talking about? I told you to check for the biggest stadium in the WORLD, I told you it was in North Korea.. and I looked at your fag beaver stadium, it has only 107,000 capacity, benches, and its maximum attendance was 110,000...

Georgia 92,746, Tennessee 104,079, Alabama 92,138, LSU 92,910, Florida 88,548, USC 80,250, Auburn 87,451.
This isn't even the Big 10 with stadiums 112,200, 110,300 and 109,000. 76,000 is just below average in the U.S.

Actually, Camp Nou is Spain's largest stadium.
Neyland Stadium, Texas Memorial Stadium, Ohio Stadium, Michigan Stadium, and Beaver Stadium in the U.S. are all bigger. Look it up bud.

Wrong. Even with benches, the Nau would not hold as many as the Neyland. Sound like a very poor excuse from someone that got schooled.
