There were a couple of things in this that needed work. You need to make the plane bigger, so that it stretches on into the horizon. Also, the sky needs work. It looked a little unrealistic. Also, make the camera angle lower, and a cool effect can be achieved if you add an omni light, which you move to the back of the plane, so it's in the distance. Then go to environment and effects. In effects, add a lens effect, make it glow, and add the light. Make the red white too.
I'd just add a few water slopes down the wooden pier (as if it was overwet) and a few flaws throughought the floor (the pier floor)... and change the sky and add a bit of depth of field, but really it was AMAZING, really good composition.. I'd give a 7 out of 10! See ya and gl!
depth of field is not really for everyone. it adds a massive amount of time to the render and alot of people don't have that much computing power. i think he would be able to put more render time in making the plane bigger. by the way was this done with a displacement
not bad. looks pretty good. but i would say looks a bit to random. if its wind producing the waves there would be more consistancy in the wave patterns. unless is just stormy random winds
Well if you know what 3ds Max is, then I converted it into a mpeg format through the 3ds Max program. Does that answer your question? If not, then I need some more info on what you need help with. Do you have 3ds Max and are woundering how to covert a video?! let me know.
Yeah i know, but the water was all the way up to like 200,000 poly's and increasing the length would make it glitch so bad i couldn't edit it, it was already freezing or crashing half the time i opened the file up, if i had a better computer i would have.
how did you made the water so dark?

Nice but you should add fog effect at middle point so sky will look better with the see

Some conveniently placed mirrors can also make the sea disappear into the "horizon".
Some well placed mirrors can drastically reduce the render time sometimes.

Your definition of screen-tap?
ImmortalKingAnmtn 3 years ago
like film it?
InsanityAtHome 3 years ago
I made it with a 3d animation software called 3ds Max. I edited it with Windows Movie Maker.

at that angle you should not be able to see the sky, perspective is off
