I Thought that the Borzoi was bred for coursing wolves, deer and other big game. Am I correct in this assessment? I believe that sight hounds were bred for that type of hunting
@ColoradoShogun Both, I think. Although they are really only used to flush out small game nowadays, from what I've seen. Taking your dog out after larger game is dangerous and not the most efficient way anymore.

Great footage. There's nothing finer than a sight hound smokin' on game. Borzoi's are large enough to hunt coyotes too. I've hunted them with greyhounds. These are some good looking dogs. More power to you. I hope you keep good videos like this coming. Borzoi's are one of my favorite breeds.

@PointedFaceKillers They can catch anything with no problems. They are the fastest dogs. The powerful borzoi can run faster than 90 km/h and the fast more than 105 km/h! and they are VERY powerful!

Having owned 2 Borzois, a big female & a small boned one, I can assure you that our petite Borzoi girl would have made quick work of the rabbit, as they're better at cutting that the bigger Borzois. The big dogs are better suited to hunting larger game. Loved the water shots. Amazed at how big the rabbits are! The Czars bred big Borzoi to hunt wolves in a pack, whereas the smaller Borzoi were the rabbit hunters. Wonderful video!
i have the best killing machine's in ireland and in england there's not a dog 2stay with my sluiki borzoi greyhound lurchers. i can bet any money that the english dogs wont but ah sway on ah hare over here in IRELAND.

I have my big Borzoi blaze and he takes down deer in the woods it's amazing how he can do this when the deer is 2 times as big as he is.
