Damals stand in der ADAC-motorwelt-Ausgabe 11/93 als Überschrift: "Der kleine Twingo reißt sogar am Dach". Trotzdem war er nicht der schlechteste. Der damalige Cinquecento war sogar noch mieser. Nur der Opel Corsa und der Ford Fiesta, glaub ich, waren formstabil und bekamen gute Noten. Den fünften Kleinwagen dieser Crashtestserie weiß ich nicht mehr.

The improvement Renault did on that car is stunning (look at NCAP tests.)

This has nothing to do with airbags. They probably modified the steering wheel and reinforced the car's structure.
