If they have the right to self rule then by the same logic, they have to right to decide if they want to be ruled by Beijing. It's simple logic. Who's 弱智 here? I think you are.

@antoneyc Also let me ask you a simple question. If China doesn't want Taiwan to be handed to Japan, why not declare war against Japan in 1895? Why ask the Taiwanese to fight and defend themselves? What does 我們必須鼓吹台灣獨立 mean? It means let the Taiwanese people fight for their own independence. We Chinese cowards can sit there and watch them die. After they declare independence from Japan, we Chinese will go and invade the island and behave just like the Japanese. Isn't that right?
