  • there are hundreds of theories hence "theoretical" physicist but im almost positive that we are 1 of many "big bangs" throughout the cosmos ,we cannot be driven by ego to suggest that our miniscule puff of smoke is the only thing out there when dealing with an unlimited or (so it's thought) vast universe? Many trillions of light years away there could be another universe or big bang and trillions of light years away from that another and so on,distance will hold us back on future discoveries

  • @classiccafe1 lol, another universe

  • @johnrcoben stranger things have happened, we do not have the mental capacity to even slightly guess on what we live in, all we know is were surrounded by planets and gases

  • @classiccafe1 OMG that is not even close to what we know, take an astronomy class

  • @johnrcoben If you mean that what they teach in astronomy is the way it is? Like Albert Einstein's theories everyone thought that they were rock solid in regards to the speed of light but now there being questioned because of the Cern Labs Neutrino discoveries. With the technology we have we are basically just guessing.wrap your head around this theory, they suggest that there was a big bang a tiny particle exploded and created everything we see? Do you know how insane that sounds?

  • @classiccafe1 It doesn't sound insane, it predicts the current state of the universe according to many parameters. You're pretty much talking out your ass, go take a class or at least read a book.

  • @johnrcoben you said it perfectly "it predicts"

  • Probability suggests that our universe may be a part of a larger structure made up of smaller components similar to our universe (lets call them universe 1 and 2). The physics laws in universe 1 may be similar but not the same as in our universe, just as electrons and protons/neutrons, which make up a single molecule, behave differently. Electrons orbit the nucleus, and have an electrical charge. The fact we are small, doesn't mean that our universe is the largest and only structure out there...

  • God is the Answer to all the questions. Just have faith in god and everything comes into focus. I just explained using modern ways, how the universe was created. God is the answer.

  • God is a tool invented by the church to control the masses. The church actively suppressed the fact and reality, the evolution of human brain helped discover. Galilee was murdered by the church for discovering that Earth was not the center of the universe, and that Earth actually revolved around the Sun. As we can see, from my little paragraph, God, and all that originates from church/religion is myth and misconception implemented to control people by holding them in the dark.

  • The general feature of this model hasn't changed much since the Weinberg book the first 3 minutes. But the elements of detailed data have gone through the roof ! Though I wonder how much longer will we have to wait for fusion energy, artificial intelligence and

rapid pedestrian deep space travel? All these brilliant charts and no way yet to see all this?

  • Lets talk about before the big bang? Some people think they got it all figured out. I have my own set of theories on this subject. Using methods of today, I could create a theory that would explain before the big bang and the many other big bangs that came before. This universe is a never ending cycle of creation and destruction.

  • @feelzthelove

    go on then.

  • @feelzthelove there is no such thing as before the big bang. time is a product of the big bang. time can only exist when things are moving, if nothing is moving then time cannot exist. since the big bang was the first time anything ever moved, that was also the begining of time.

  • Well, we have approached finding the answer to beginning from the side of spontaneous reaction. We should also take into account possibility of our universe being a by product of an interaction of preexisting structures. Logical approach suggests that our universe is one among many similar objects, just like a molecule is made up of many atoms, which have particles behaving in different manners (protons, electrons, and neutrons) Our universe may be like an electron is in a certain molecule.

  • black body distribution* instead of curve.

  • This video regarding Cosmic Microwave background radiation is VERY good !!! My only complaint is that Sir Ellis is moving VERY, VERY quickly (I had to rewind a few times). Other than that, it's an excellent video and it's helping me in my studies ! I'm giving this five stars.

Even though I wish he would slow down a bit and some of the words in the power point presentation are blurred out. But overall, I still like the video !!! Very good !!!

  • i almost don't have to go to class. thanks for posting this.

  • Mr. Ellis seems to in an awful big hurry to get his story across.

I figure this presentation wasn't meant for the not so knowledgeable about the subject. Which would include me as well compared to the scientist who are specialized in that field.
