Did Fanatec stop selling "Clubsport editions"? I've considered buying this, but the clubsport editions seems to have vanished from their website a while ago.

How awesome would it be, if the game recognized the Fanatec wheel and eliminated the steering wheel on the screen so all you see is the gages. But when you play with the controller you can drive with the steering wheel screen "on" or "off".

@AirsoftGamer94 xbox 360 part is the real killer as there is like 3 wheels that works on 360, its xbox own wheel, a little cheaper one form madcats/saitek (still goes for 100+) but has no FF, and this GT2 wheel.

Wow, dude you dont use 900 for iracing? Arent they set up perfectly for all wheels to each car if you set it to 900? I mean....i havnt heard at all of people using anything less than 900 unless they are oval racers or something
Awesome Review guys! I am absolutely, 100% totally loving my GT2. Ive got both the standard and the clubsport pedals.. Obviously the standard pedals don't see much use.. but man oh man.. This wheel makes every game I play feel like a new game! Forza is amazing with it, as is GT5. But Ive been putting a lot of laps in on F12010, GTR2/Evo and RaceOn/07, and holy christ! This wheel makes these games a really great experience. F12010, on PC, with this wheel and triple monitors, nothing better!

im still extremely torn between GT2 and T500, the GT2 has xbox support but T500 is the new ps3 wheel, i think ill wait till you have the T500 review up and i can make a decision.

So, what's with the massive controller delay we see in the videos? Is that just your screen setup that has that delay or is it the wheel? Look at 7:13 for instance.

@iluvworldofwarcraft Perhaps u could have found an old DFP for around $40-50. i got mine preowned for around £35-40 from a company called Cex in uk. this was back in 2007. its got 900 degree steering and reasonable force feed back.
How do you get a score of 3.25 and 3.75 etc? :P Is it just guessing, or are there specific things in each category that you check and each of these things have a set amount of points the wheel can get?

Thanks for another great show. I've been a racing game fan for quite a few years now, and the closest I've gotten to sim is Race Pro on Xbox using the crappy wireless wheel made by Microsoft.
I like the review given to the GT2, and has me considering buying it, but putting me in the hole deeper than I might with a G27. What would you say is a smarter choice for the frugal, going with the GT2 with standard pedals or buying a G27, since it is still a great wheel without many luxuries?

@thnk4urself Shaun made it, I didn't.. I didn't run enough laps to make a run at it although I made top 200 in my region.. Shaun was in top 80 in the region.
@simracingtonight I had to force myself to run a lot of laps towards the end. I didn't really enjoy the 370z at tsukuba or the fact that everyone was cheating in the cape ring time trial. I hope they patch that because if you go off the course to save time or smash into walls, you should get DQed but oh well. I hope they fix that for round 2
Hi SRT great review as always described in great detail. i just wanted to ask u guys what the basic pedals are like for the gt2 wheel because i have a g25 but was gonna sell it so i can have this 1 on my pc ps3 and xbox 360 u did say the g25 pedals worked great on this wheel but how do they compair? I bought about a year ago the GT3 RS V2 Fanatec with clubsport pedals - and I am just wandering is there a difference in the wheel itself when you compare the GT3 RS V2 and the GT2 ? (I mean do they have different FFB strength, smootheness or is it basically the same wheel with additional items like illumination and compatibility)

OMG! GRiD2! Finally! Hopefully it drives a little more realistically, but its always fun to race on there. And, I like the buttons and everything on the G27, it feels more racey to me. Maybe gamey, a little, but the layout, I like more. Though, for someone big into road cars (and someone who is actually old enough to drive :P) I'm sure the Fanatec buttons feel more standard. Not for me, but great for everyone who does like it! Thanks for another great review.
Nice review Guys and Jess, Your cons were very short and if you took the ones like the chopsticks they don't really count as you only have the pure edition so not many at all. Im going to get this wheel for sure (When Stock Arrives at Our New Zealand Supplier in Feb) and the laughs at the end awesome lol..
@forx4crawler I've raced all of the races in B Spec except the 24 Hours of Nurburg.. In A Spec I have all of the Extreme done except the Formula GT.. I haven't done any Endurance yet
@simracingtonight You dont have to get 100% in a racing game to be able to review it. That like trying to get 100% in a game like fallout 3 before a review. Not needed at all.

I've been all excited about Off Road Drive since this episode came out. Where did you find it was coming out in Feb 2011 though? All I can find is that it's coming out in the second quarter of this year. I've called two gamestops and neither has heard of it either. It will be released in the US right? I've waited my entire life for a true rock crawling sim to be released so any info would be very helpful. Also, have you guys ever reviewed Rigs of Rods? It supports most wheels and is a sim.
@simracingtonight The thing about ordering it piece by piece as opposed to the club sport package they had going was that they where including the Carbon Paddle shifters (a $39.99 value). So you got a pretty good deal.
don't know why you'd want to buy this over a g25/27 if u already had one, sounds like its only a very slight improvement ..the difference can easily be made up with driver skill...and I'd rather upgrade my pedals for my g25 than a new wheel to go with the pedals... I'd love to get club-sport pedals but those shifters look really cheap ... cheaper than even the g25's which I'm not fond of to begin with
Guys, I know u said this has the convertor for g27 pedals, but what about the g27 shifter?....this wheel doesnt seem to have enough buttons for games like iracing where I need to take as many keys off the keyboard as possible and those shifters u showed have no buttons so its not ganna work for me :/

Im currently playin GT5 with my Logitech g25. You said it before to get the most realistic feel I had to turn off all driving aids, but for some reason everytime I step on the brakes wheels locked up immediately (absoff). should I leave it on, or is it just me ?
@taitoimpact Well I'm a Fanatec owner on Xbox. Funny I wasn't thinking of GRID being set up for a wheel. Grid just happens in my opinion to be the best racing game all round for controller. Although I agree full wheel and h shifter clutch support would make a great racing game even better.
@Retrogamer71 the crash effects' smoke GT5, and the force feed back is strong. i like the graphics and arcade physics of grid but i wanted a shifter game, so it was gt5 and shift on my shelf. Although Grid is probably more fun as an automatic racer. If they have a good shifter and clutch in the next one then count me in. I wander if its possible to configure the fanatic wheel to play old games like "tokyo road race" and "initial D"(ps2) at 900 degrees?
It is a good wheel but the little fan that is in there got to go . it produces a high pitch nois that tortures your ears and sometimes sounds like a cable got into the fan or something.. a real MINUS if you ask me ...
I was thinking of buying GT2, but the need to get the pedals and the H-shifter separately for quite the price is sort of a let down. Still a quality wheel, surely the best choice right now.

Nice show once again. I currently use a Logitech G25 but ive seen some people are really good on GT5 with the GT5 RS V2. I have the Turbo S wheel but dont like it much. I cant really put my finger on why, i just prefer my Logitech wheel. How does the GT2 compare. I'm really attracted by the idea of having a wheel that works on both consoles + pc which is why I got the Turbo S, but has the GT2 really moved on much from the Turbo S in terms of feel?
I can't choose between buying it seperate or getting the 499 pack

I want a wheel for mainly just GT5 and F1 2010 (on PS3) and mainly a little use on PC. But I've heard problems with Logitech and problems with Fanatec on PS3. Which one do you InsideSimRacing (and viewers) think I should go for?

"Deliveries to countries outside Europe are unfortunately not possible at the current time." That's what it says on fanatec website. I'm in the US- how do I buy a GT5 if I want one? Will my G25 pedals work with that adapter on a PS3 for GT5?????????????? (as others have asked here) Thanks.

Looks like you guys can't quite make up your mind which wheel is best for GT5? It's not possible for both to be "best for GT5". "Pretty much best for GT5" doesn't cut the mustard. If it's not the best, then SAY IT! Say "Although the T500 Is better". Don't you think Thomas would rather have your honesty? WE WOULD. Redo the video please.

@thnk4urself Shaun made it, I didn't.. I didn't run enough laps to make a run at it although I made top 200 in my region.. Shaun was in top 80 in the region.

@simracingtonight I had to force myself to run a lot of laps towards the end. I didn't really enjoy the 370z at tsukuba or the fact that everyone was cheating in the cape ring time trial. I hope they patch that because if you go off the course to save time or smash into walls, you should get DQed but oh well. I hope they fix that for round 2

Hi SRT great review as always described in great detail. i just wanted to ask u guys what the basic pedals are like for the gt2 wheel because i have a g25 but was gonna sell it so i can have this 1 on my pc ps3 and xbox 360 u did say the g25 pedals worked great on this wheel but how do they compair? I dont really have the time to be a proper sim racer even tho i love playing them so would the basic set be ok for just genaral use or would u recommend keeping the g25 pedals. Thanx guys

T500RS-PS3-3Pedals-Paddle Shifters
but if u dont own a 360, you should get the GT3 RS.
The only difference is, that the GT2 is for xbox as well.
If u wanna play on PC or PS3, take the GT3 RS it is about 150 buckz cheaper

I bought about a year ago the GT3 RS V2 Fanatec with clubsport pedals - and I am just wandering is there a difference in the wheel itself when you compare the GT3 RS V2 and the GT2 ? (I mean do they have different FFB strength, smootheness or is it basically the same wheel with additional items like illumination and compatibility)

OMG! GRiD2! Finally! Hopefully it drives a little more realistically, but its always fun to race on there. And, I like the buttons and everything on the G27, it feels more racey to me. Maybe gamey, a little, but the layout, I like more. Though, for someone big into road cars (and someone who is actually old enough to drive :P) I'm sure the Fanatec buttons feel more standard. Not for me, but great for everyone who does like it! Thanks for another great review.

Nice review Guys and Jess, Your cons were very short and if you took the ones like the chopsticks they don't really count as you only have the pure edition so not many at all. I've been all excited about Off Road Drive since this episode came out. Where did you find it was coming out in Feb 2011 though? All I can find is that it's coming out in the second quarter of this year. I've called two gamestops and neither has heard of it either. It will be released in the US right? I've waited my entire life for a true rock crawling sim to be released so any info would be very helpful. Also, have you guys ever reviewed Rigs of Rods? It supports most wheels and is a sim.

@simracingtonight The thing about ordering it piece by piece as opposed to the club sport package they had going was that they where including the Carbon Paddle shifters (a $39.99 value). So you got a pretty good deal.

don't know why you'd want to buy this over a g25/27 if u already had one, sounds like its only a very slight improvement ..the difference can easily be made up with driver skill...and I'd rather upgrade my pedals for my g25 than a new wheel to go with the pedals... I'd love to get club-sport pedals but those shifters look really cheap ... cheaper than even the g25's which I'm not fond of to begin with

Guys, I know u said this has the convertor for g27 pedals, but what about the g27 shifter?....this wheel doesnt seem to have enough buttons for games like iracing where I need to take as many keys off the keyboard as possible and those shifters u showed have no buttons so its not ganna work for me :/

Im currently playin GT5 with my Logitech g25. You said it before to get the most realistic feel I had to turn off all driving aids, but for some reason everytime I step on the brakes wheels locked up immediately (absoff). should I leave it on, or is it just me ?

@taitoimpact Well I'm a Fanatec owner on Xbox. Funny I wasn't thinking of GRID being set up for a wheel. Grid just happens in my opinion to be the best racing game all round for controller. Although I agree full wheel and h shifter clutch support would make a great racing game even better.

@Retrogamer71 the crash effects' smoke GT5, and the force feed back is strong. i like the graphics and arcade physics of grid but i wanted a shifter game, so it was gt5 and shift on my shelf. Although Grid is probably more fun as an automatic racer. If they have a good shifter and clutch in the next one then count me in. I wander if its possible to configure the fanatic wheel to play old games like "tokyo road race" and "initial D"(ps2) at 900 degrees?

It is a good wheel but the little fan that is in there got to go . it produces a high pitch nois that tortures your ears and sometimes sounds like a cable got into the fan or something.. a real MINUS if you ask me ...

Nice show once again. I currently use a Logitech G25 but ive seen some people are really good on GT5 with the GT5 RS V2. I have the Turbo S wheel but dont like it much. I cant really put my finger on why, i just prefer my Logitech wheel. How does the GT2 compare. I'm really attracted by the idea of having a wheel that works on both consoles + pc which is why I got the Turbo S, but has the GT2 really moved on much from the Turbo S in terms of feel?

500 bucks for a great racing experience is actually really cheap.
And I think for guys like you the console/PC is more the accessory, this wheel works with all the current racing sims.
