force 10 is capable of getting between the Zodiac and the wave and picking the whole thing up and blowing it through the air like a leaf. Gay video. (beyond girly).
More like force 2, the simple fact is that at force 12, the zodiacs, let alone the ship itself wouldnt be anywhere near point wild or any land for that matter.
F!" = "Huge waves. Sea is COMLETELY white with foam and spray. Wave height >= 14m".
And if this was a F12 the skipper should be losing his license for allowing such operations. Or perhaps he wasn't watching the weather in which case he should lose his license.
Maybe force 12+ is so heavy weather it sweeps itself away, hehe.
I once took a seat on a pilot boat at the coast of Norway during force 9 (descending at the moment), and still the skipper managed to roll over the boat at the wave, twice. I'm sure that bastard did it intentionally. Heh.
@DONEGAL1974 dude i drive zodiacs down in antarctica for a living and i can assure you the zodiac mark v mounted with a 60 hp is the best boat someone can wish for, forget your deltafarce, we ran aground 2 years ago and we evacuated our passengers in a case similar and lots can go wrong quickly, oooh trust me i think its you who doesnt have a clue watching a video for 5 minutes and thinking you have it all figured out
i work in south georgia a lot ,re the ribs handle the job fine a fewships have tried other type of boats but theyre to heavy to get back off the beach,
Would not be impressed with the use Zodiacs in these conditions, especially as the pasengers are not used to the way an inflatable behaves in such conditions. They should have used rigid boats with shelter for the passegers. At the end of the piece they show 3 crew members working close to the bow of the ship and the ship is clearly under way and shipping a "green sea ", this is not good seamanship by any manner or means
Force 3 or 4 !!!

Tourism is a serious threat to the ecology of Antarctica, Earth's last wilderness.

If you want rough weather look at the Interceptor boats in Ireland. Proper boats
DONEGAL1974 2 years ago
What a load of shit, cowboy drivers in a shitty inflatable and f - 12 + you are having a laugh.
They do not have a clue.
If you want a good boat for the sea get a deltaforce, humber rib and not a crappy inflatable with the A team crew. lol

Well said twgswee9 - any decent Master wouldn't dare get under way without securing the focsle first.
