  • Great work!

I hope we see more of the big clams appearing in oceans in the US as well.

  • In Queensland, Australia, the government is looking at desalination plants because Brisbane lacks sufficient water supplies. One concern about desalination is the massive amounts of power that it uses. It strikes me that this machine could pump water under pressure through reverse osmosis filters to desalinate water. Obviously, I am saying this without the benefit of knowing how much pressure this unit produces or how much pressure is required for desalination... so it's just an idea. :)

  • The company Aquamarine Power has a patent on using the Oyster machine for desalination.

  • Excellent. Hopefully they'll be able to get it in front of the Qld Gov so that we can overcome one of the environmental concerns of desalination.

  • Great idea - any pressure can be generated according to piston size - what matters is how much power is generated and how much is needed per litre of water filtered.

The various marine power projects currently under development are very exciting and CLEAN !

  • safe energy = awesome
