how is this guitar in comparision to the les paul? has it got that nice bottom and sustain? im just askin' since im looking to buy this guitar as an alternative to an LP..anyone who can help me out?
well apparently they're the same pickup under the cover, but many people will say that the metal covers will change the sound, causing some loss in brightness. I don't think the difference is so drastic that it's worth worrying about.
i really want one of these. to be honest, i really want an ovation GP ultra because my guitar hero josh homme plays one of them, but there are only about 1000 of them from nineteen-eighty-something and they cost like a zillion dollars. this is similar and it sound great :D
to be exactly: only around 400 were produced. I wanted an Ovation Ultra GP, too. The Eastwood was no alternative because of the ugly headstock und the stupid logo on it... well now ive got a great SG^^
I've got one of these, and I agree, the Eastwood logo is dumb, I just got it professionally painted over, no big deal, but yeah, Eastwood does that with a lot of their guitars.
I read about it somewhere.... I'm quite sure that Eastwood guitars were made in Corts factory just like Ibanz and some acoustic Fenders

This guitar is being made in Corts factroy ...If you don't have those in your country buy a cort m600 and you'll get the same effect =D
mixmux2008 1 year ago
incorrect. NOT made in the CORT factory. Where did you get that idea?

i was thinking of getting one of the black ones for c-standard tuning, would it be good for it?
joed424 1 year ago
yes, lots of people do that. Throw some heavier strings on it.

Ive had mine for a number of years now and want to know how many were made.
It says on myrareguitars that this is a limited edition release. Is this true?

@bexgh666 Yes. the sustain is amazing. I would also recommend one of these over a Les Paul just because its a lot easier to hit the higher frets.

The cherry burst is well worth the money. The top of mine puts many a Gibson flame top to shame.

why isnt it with standard pickup if he is doing a EASTWOOD review ???
mudfly3 2 years ago
Those are the stock pickups on the goldtop GPs.

man that guy is a nervous wreck.

That guy is also a hitmaker. I see no nervousness from him.
drummerkid71 2 years ago 2
It's not really nervousness, it seems more like a lack of eloquence, he doesn't seem the be the best talker in the world.

The intonation sounds a little off on a lot of these videos. Do they not set them up before ship-out?
dave3283 3 years ago
they do, but some just fall out of intonation. All of the Eastwoods are easily intonatable and it wouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

i wish they would made a goldtop lefty
z0mgeomge 3 years ago
Sigh the pain of being a lefty :P
You can have your lefty eastwood gp in any colour you like...as long as its black.
I'd kill for a honey burst.
