Go watch the Penn & Teller Bullshit episode on porn. I've seen my share of porn, and I don't have an appetite for increasingly brutal pornography. I viewed some of that brutal stuff out of curiosity, and I just didn't like it. I like what I like and it's pretty tasteful mainstream stuff. Like a pretty teacher or librarian taking it off then getting it on. Ok, maybe she needs one swift slap on the ass, but that's mostly for sound-effect, not to cause pain. I would say that porn has been getting more wholesome lately. Sometime around 2007 I noticed that the women were actually enjoying it substantially. Back in the 90s... it all seemed kinda disconnected and unreal.
