"It was just the most obvious thing to do." excellent! Great Video, I like how Tahir says that he wanted to give his family a richer experience of life outside of London. Living and growing up in the US, there is defnitely a feeling of being insulated from the culture, beauty and problems of other cultures and places with ancient traditions. Watching the Travel Channel does not fix it, reading helps though, so I am buying the book!
The first thing it came to my mind when I started reading the novel of Tahir Shah was to visit his house, but am no more interested, cos after I finished the novel I felt like if I've already been there. I would love 2 thank Tahir for opening his house and spraeding love, yes that what I feel, he is a man who loves simply as that.
Anyone here have any idea of how to find the works of the father???????
@makepeace11 it's obvious that there's an analogy here w/ people who study hebrew for years, even learn aramaic and delve into cabala , to be able to order felafel in the holy tongue. i'm admittedly an ignoramus and almost completely out of my mind and even i can honestly say there's nothing going on here that has to do w/ the father's works. i would sarcastically point you in the direction of libraries and bookstores. there is a book service, a notariqon involving human knowledge of some kind.
@apathyinmortalform i think he has a brother . who does more serious stuff, not that i care. i was only told there was a kardesh, and i only just started learning turkish, but there's hardly any gender in turkish. more serious does not automatically mean better
It seems soul means something different to Shah and the interviewer.
