@dev71893 400whp is only done with a good size turbo so lag is to blame. If the 240 had DR's and a 2-step, different scenario. You saw how it pulled back mid track. Now, if they were to run from a 40mph roll, forget about it. I am running into this issue at the track currently.

My first car was a 240SX. My next car was n 89 GT. Then a 2000 GT. So im on both sides of this. If the Mustang was stock and dynoed 208hp then the 240SX must have had all the basic bolt ons too hang like that. The Mustang definitely had the torque and gear to get out of the hole. But the 240 caught up pretty quick.

But too, the SN95 Mustangs with the 4.6 had 215hp advertised at the crank so they werent "fast" by any stretch either. High 14s I believe is close to stock. I highly doubt that the 240 was putting out 400 at that race. It would have been either spinning or walking away hard. 03-04 Cobras have 390 stock. Imagine a 98GT and 04 Cobra racing. Thats how this race should have looked.

@ramracing4point7ltr its true man get over wait till u line up with one to talk shit.. hell my stock weak ass sohc with a home done port job with 10.1 comp has taken a stock mustang with an 06 gto blowing us both away.. the stock american 240sx motors 89-90 sohc has ~140hp to wheels and the 91-98 dohc motors have around 155hp that atleast in the s13 chassis that weighs around 2300lbs with some boosting and a good tune can take alot on the road.. do some research...
In my 240sx with a modified SR20DET, setup to run on E85, and 22+ psi of boost. No stock production vehicle can beat me... At the track I pull a 1.79 60ft not the best but that is launching off the 6500rpm rev limiter and dumping the clutch, dead hooking. So probably 1.79 is as good as I'm gonna get with a 200hp car.
