  • im getting a tattoo of sakai on my arm :)

  • every time i hear this it reminds me of my friend who is a chef and we did a mini iron chef battel :)

  • epic song

  • hahaha, it's more fun and 'exiting' using Asian ingredients... rofl

  • Hans Zimmer! Now that he mentioned it... it does sound similar to the Spirit soundtrack!

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know the name of the music that plays when they actually summon the Iron Chefs? I listened to all the tracks on the Backdraft soundtrack and I didn't hear that one.

  • 真ん中の人は誰ですか?道場さんとちがいますが・・・

    4分過ぎは料理の鉄人ではなくバックドラフトです。劣化コピーでしょうか?

  • I do like the american Iron chef theme song, does anybody know what it's called so I can find it! Thanks!

  • Thank you, a great soundtrack it is...

...by the way, the word 'exciting' has a 'c' in it (I only mention this because I often see it spelt 'exiting' online).

  • oh wait, i get it now. XD

  • waitaminute is Hans Zimmer really the composer for this? i didn't know he did japanese shows.

  • The ORIGINAL Iron Chef cannot be beaten.

  • Wait. This sounds like Backdraft.

  • I loved when he would eat the pepper so intensely :DD I ALSO HATE THE AMERICAN VERSION >:( BRING THIS ONE BACK (Morimoto = mah boii)

  • "Nearly a decade ago a man's fantasy became reality, in a form never seen before, Kitchen Stadium, a giant cooking arena. The motivation behind Kitchen Stadium, was to encounter new original cuisines, which could be called true artistic creations."

    EPIC BEYOND EPIC

  • I remember the nights I would stay up and watch this awesome show...this song is soooo epic

  • What I really wanna know is what's the name of the song they play just before the battle, when Chairman Kaga steps in and takes a bite out of a pepper?

  • @toradrow777 That would be "Show Me Your Firetruck".

  • whats the tittle of this song?

  • @mntuazon09 If you look under the video, the artist and song name is there because it is copywrited lol. It's also called backdraft tho.

  • you forgot "o fortuna" by carl orff

  • Look up " Show me your firetruck " from the Backdraft soundtrack. I think it's more accurate to the clips they played on the show rather than this one. Also, listen through "Show me your firetruck" the whole way, and in the last minute or so, you'll be in for one of those epic nostalgic moments when you remember it where they used that specific clip.

  • god i miss the old iron chef so much

  • @chrischris292 same here... I wish food network would put it back on

  • im using this for a spanidh iron chef video

  • Hans Zimmer for the win! I love his music!

  • Iron cheff and Hans Zimmer rules! from japan

  • Please Food Network bring this show back... the new one totally sucks....

  • Agree

  • Backdraft :D

  • lol this song gasses me up to cook lmao

  • I remember wtching that show when I was a kid. I liked everything about it, especially how the Iron chefs appear with that fancy music. When the last episode aired, i cried because it was such a great show. Then his nephew(I doubt he is though.) redone iron chef as iron chef america but i didn't like it at all, especially in the opening since i saw him throw a bell pepper(Chairman Kaga's favorite food, as seen in the original opening) But my love in the original never went away.

  • The guy is the fictional nephew, yes. I love the Japanese versions, they've got JUST the right flair, and they're not over dramatic. When Chairman Kaga goes "Allez Cuisine!" (Allet kizzeen!) it's just a thing of beauty. The American version is so.....iunno, corny, I guess. Just way too overdone. Alton Brown is its saving grace. :D

  • If memory serves me right, and it does... this show is the best of all cooking shows.

  • this song is cool, they used it for a middle school promotion thingy :)

  • Allez Cusine!!

  • Regardless of what anyone else says: This is NOT the theme from Backdraft.

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't believe you have the correct version of the song uploaded

  • the REAL cuisine reigns supreme!

  • Never mess with an original

they NEVER should have made the American version

    boo on Food Network!

  • The american one is pretty good. Abviously not as good as the original but I still like it. They were just trying to keep the dream alive, nothing wrong with that~

  • you are right

    it finally grew on me

  • but you got to give props to food network for dubbing the show in english : )

  • i disagree sir. lol. I believe it is important to show persons from America what American chef are like. I do agree however that the new version is not as good as the original but isn't that the case for most spin-offs?

  • @OttBismark Isn't that what hells Kitchen is for hahah. I love Gordon Ramsey!

  • @OttBismark

Yeah, but I think the main point is that so much of the show wasn't the cooking, by the style. It's like the Top Gear series. Yes, you can make a show with cars, and banter, and crazy stunts, but the Iron Chef America show is just a cooking competition show. It doesn't have the same style, or chemistry, or art to it. It's a rela shame, but it's very difficult to re-create a good show.

  • i agree with you both, im just saying that the American version isnt all that bad, however i will say that if it were not for Alton Brown.... i would not watch it

  • @OttBismark

Yeah. I mean, at the end of the day, you still have some gorgeous cookery going on.

  • I eat muffs :)

  • SAKAI!

  • der typ ist so geil und auch noch ein deutscher ;D

  • yes this is the theme song from Backdraft. The US dubbed version made a new song to not have to pay royalty rights to the studio.

  • Sounds exactly the same, just the TV show used different portions of the song for the opening sequence.

  • Iron chef Kenichi FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • yukuza! yes? iron chef sakai says in the bowl is boiling water and ground onion!

    lol <3 iron chef

  • IRON CHEF SAKAI FOREVER!!! lol

  • I hate Iron chef America, that peice of shit.

  • this is the best iron chef. fuck the american version and its try hard host

  • on FLN iron chef japan comes on,on weekdays at 10:00 pm (central time)

  • Man I remember watching the Iron Chef Battle between Morimoto and Flay, that was awesome! who remembers what a sore loser Flay was?

  • is this the real theme or is the one on fln the real one?

  • You guys do know this is from the movie Backdraft, right? It's still a fine piece of music and was a VERY fine show.

  • The good ol days of Iron Chef I loved it on food network cryed when they stopped airing it was happy when it came back to tv (the only time I will thank Fine Living) even tho the new music sucks I love watching the show and glad to see it back! Long live the Japanese Iron Chef (not a fan of the American version)

  • yes i am sorry but the American version is just sad. it is NOT iron chef.

i loved watching the original iron chef. growing up, man i've got memories of that show. i loved it so much! this song gives me goose bumps!!!

  • Not only have they Redid the music (which is terrible now) but they also seem to have redubbed the chairman. I think its such disrespect to him now especially when it was on the Food Network he was always the only one that was subtitled (though the guy did narrate the stories about the chefs/ingredients) Such a shame. Still good that this show came back. Missed it when Iron chef America came on the scene.

  • Long live Chairman Kaga and the Iron Chefs!

  • I'll raise my glass to that :D

  • @aquwaman2021

    and my bell pepper

  • i loved morimoto, but there is always room for rokusabura michiba

  • dude! I watched this show before and had always wondered what that song was. especially when i heard it at that one theme park in orlando or was it calfornia? anyway i heard it at the building where they had a presentation on the "backdraft" movie's special effects. thanks for solving that mystery for me.

  • Thats what I'm here for ;)

  • wat was the name of the old song?

  • It sucks they changed the music now that it's on Fine Living.

  • I totally agree. Its horribly generic now.

  • I can't even watch the show anymore because of it.

The opening sets the tone for the show... and it's just so bland now. Whoever thought the music change was a good idea probably thinks that fish ice cream is a good idea too.

  • They probably had no choice, I'm sure it was a licensing issue.

  • uuurrgghh, that fish ice cream didn't look too good to me, lol.

  • @Crimmond Unfortunately, I think the change was because Fine Living Network doesn't have the rights to use the original music, which was owned by NBC Universal. Often, that's why music changes when shows get syndicated. I agree though - the newer theme is very bland!

  • @laerwen Good answer, I think. The new theme also sounds like a midi track, lol.

  • @laerwen but the interesting thing is that Fine Living (and now, its the Cooking Channel) is owned by the people who own Food Network and HGTV

  • Why did they change the music? I figured it was because they were showing newer episodes. Nonetheless this music fits Chairman Kaga and the preposterousness of Food Stadium. This song hits the spot and it's just cause I heard it first with the show.

  • awesome vid thanks!

  • pleasure! :)

  • nice vid justin

  • thanks ben :) you watvh the oron shef?, you shoulds rated.

  • THE WORLD'S BEST COOKING SHOW~!

  • indeed.
